Seeking Recent Experiences re: Uber/Lyft Resort Drop-off?

If you used Uber/Lyft to be dropped off at a Disney Resort in July 2024 or later, was your driver asked to prove you had an ADR or resort stay at that resort and, were you allowed to be dropped off?

If you tried to access a resort without an ADR or resort stay, would you mind providing the approx. date and which resort? What was your experience?

Trying to see if Disney is lifting some of it's drop-off restrictions or if this person's experiences were uncommon?

We went is August , and never were asked. But then again, we did have ADRs

Sorry, don't have exact date, but it was 2nd week of September, 2024.

We Ubered to AKL, where we were staying. We'd checked in days before this happened. The guard at the gate would not accept a MB scan and asked my sister for her name, which she gave him . . . and which he kept misspelling, since he kept claiming that we were not resort guests and was quite rude to us.

Finally he spelled my sister's last name correctly and he was forced to admit that we were guests there and he let us in. I was not amused.

Two trips in the last year.

Trip #1-BCV,February, fortunately I already had my Magic Band on, and the security guard scanned it when I offered. He wasn't satisfied with the Uber driver's word.
Trip#2-OKW, mid-October, this time the security guard took the driver's word that we were checking in.

Picking up a guest would not be an issue. It's being dropped off that can be if you don't have a reservation for the resort or an ADR.

Polynesian, 12 noon for check in, asked for my last name to confirm, then let us go through.
Animal Kingdom Lodge, 5 pm for Jiko ADR. I told the guard I had an ADR and they waved me through, did not confirm my name.
Polynesian, 10 pm, returning from dinner. Waved us through without any questions. Not a party night, so MK was about to close and fireworks were over.

December, first week, around 9 pm. Dropped off by Uber at AKL Jambo and had to scan magic band to prove we were staying there.

Stayed at Wilderness Lodge 12/21-12/27. Took uber from airport on 12/21 and was asked for name at the gate (around 4 pm) . Took uber from Disney Springs on 12/22 and was not asked for name (4 pm). Took uber from Boardwalk on 12/26 and was not asked for name (2 pm)

Several times in September. Looked back at my activity in the UBER app. My recollection was that my info was checked every single time before being allowed to enter.

Nov 30: Our driver accidentally tried to go to Art of Animation instead of POP and I didn't realize until he was almost to the guard station. The guard asked for our name and I had to explain the mixup and he had us turn around.

I was prepared to do the same when we arrived at POP five minutes later. He asked for our name but I don't think he looked anything up before waving us through.

Late July: Riviera. We had a Topolino’s reservation for 9 or 10am. Guard had me roll down back window to see my ID and then checked my reservation.

Same trip: We had a Beaches and Cream reservation for 5:30pm. We got there about 3:45 and had to show ID. Guard said we were there a bit early, and I said we were going to walk to YC to pregame at the A&C lounge. He laughed and let us through.

I was merely responding to the post #2 that incorrectly said the picking up driver would have to give the name of the guest he was picking up. Thought it might be reasonable to provide correct information to them.

That part was "guessing". Not what happened.
