ROFR activity remained strong in February, continuing the most active start to the year we’ve seen since 2022.

Key Takeaways:
Animal Kingdom leads the way again with 9 contracts bought back, bringing its total to 51 buybacks since August 2024.

In new news for my recent purchase. I was moving and didnt open my copies of closing docs when I got them 3 weeks ago. There was a check in there for overpayment. $1500. Disney still says dues are paid. Mind blown. $90.18pp for my Aul-S.

Moral of this story... open your closing docs copies that get mailed to you even if you also got them by email.

Paul, do you know the last time BLT was bought back? I am so curious; I don’t think I’ve seen one BLT buyback in the past year!

This surprises me as I feel like GF is still the highest average price I see. I'm surprised it hasn't come down more and now even more surprised that they are buying them back at what seems to be, in my opinion, not a steal of a price.

Now that they are selling direct, my guess is that there is a waiting list of people who want to add on to their “summer fire sale” points.

I’d look at BLT, CCV, and VGF as solid Sleep Around Plus points if your holding period is 5-10 years.

DVC Resale Market Update – February 2025 ​

Inventory is on the rise, and that means lower prices & more opportunities for buyers! As of March 4th, 2025, there are 545 active resale listings—a 10% increase from November 2024. With more contracts hitting the market, competition among sellers is growing, pushing prices down across multiple resorts.

Notable Price Drops This Month:
Old Key West: Down $8 per point to $84
BoardWalk: Now $122 per point, down from $133 in November
Grand Californian: Dropped to $220 per point, continuing its decline
Polynesian: Slipped to $158 per point, as Island Tower excitement levels off

What does this mean for buyers?
More inventory = more choices, better deals, and negotiation power! While prices are trending down, Disney’s ROFR activity could play a role in stabilizing pricing in the months ahead.

Thanks for watching! - I think its worth looking beyond OKW and Saratoga, depending on how long you plan to be an owner. So many factors play into the decision (dues, years on contract, etc.), so the best option is unique for each individual. When we bought two years ago Poly made the most sense for 175 points because pricing had dipped at the time to $130pp. Now its a different story and we'd probably look elsewhere.
