ROFR Thread January to March 2025 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

I was too. I missed my January 1st reservation while waiting for the points to post. Now, on a waiting list.

Contracts now added yesterday so went on chat to get the points added. Guy said he has to email the relevant department and to wait for them to be added.

📉 January 2025 DVC Resale Market Update: Price Drop Creates Buying Opportunities! 📉

The new year kicked off with average resale prices dropping 4% from $126 to $121 per point, as peak resale season brought more inventory and options for buyers.

✨ 2042 Resorts in the Spotlight
As these resorts approach their expiration dates, the market remains surprisingly resilient:

  • BoardWalk: Up 10.3% over the past year to $125 per point.
  • Old Key West (2042): Gained 3.4%, ending January at $92 per point.
  • Beach Club: Holding strong at $134 per point.
💡 What does this mean?

  • For buyers, now is the time! With more listings and softer prices, you can find amazing deals, especially at resorts like BoardWalk, Beach Club, and Grand Californian.
  • For sellers, competition is higher—price your contract competitively to attract offers.

From the broker perspective, when isn’t it a time to buy?
Prices are going down - great time to buy
Prices are going up - buy before they go higher

Yea, I got the same message. I did see the points in my account the next day. Now hoping the waiting list comes thru for the 1st.

I am surprised to see this. I know I was trying to sell a BCV contract and no person was interested in paying close to 134.

Respectfully, I’m having trouble following the logic here. Overall resale prices are down, with some exceptions at 2042 resorts that are up or holding their value. So it’s a great time to buy those resorts that are now relatively more expensive? Didn’t you just say that Boardwalk and Beach Club prices are surprisingly strong?

I read it the same way, I was like huh, what?

Maybe it’s a great time before they get higher? Lol.

Yeah probably would have been better to say it's a good time to buy for some of the resorts...
