I am curious on how does Paul get data every month on what was taken in ROFR. Seems like there are more that were taken than mentioned on here.

I could be wrong but I don't think that the vast majority of (prospective) DVC owners are frequent Disboard visitors like us lol so that's why you wouldn't see a lot of ROFR on here. And as far as I know, Paul's info also doesn't include any contracts taken from other brokers, only the ones taken from DVC Resale Market. So, in other words, he's only reporting on the data from within the company he works for.

It’s not a small contract and I know that the BWV market could crash like the Aulani market if Disney decides to crack down on commercial renters….. but in 3ish more years my oldest will be in college and won’t be forced to go on family vacations… I am confident this is a resort he’ll want to go back to and at this point in my life that is pretty darn important.

I think you got a great deal / great price for one of the best resorts! Plus, the memories with the family are priceless especially as the college years approach. Totally agree about leaning into the resorts that are the family favorites!

At least for six or seven years, his reports have indicated that it was only through his brokerage--then extrapolated numbers to present a estimated average for DVC overall.

His report is what was taken via sales at https://www.dvcresalemarket.com/ its not across all brokers just that one alone.

Agreed on another contract, and a decent price at that (will update soon) but second guessing as to the timing since with all the macro economic headwinds and volatility it just feels like much better prices/panic selling is in the near future. Really do need more points to use soon so it works for us but man oh man I really do think we're going to see a haircut on prices. Hope I'm wrong and I wish I had the gumption to wait, but again...I need points and I need them now!

Poly at VGF blowout prices? Um yeah...I would sell some of my stock portfolio off for that...oh wait...hold on...(checks portfolio)...nope...nothing left there...just dust and ash. A month ago my stock net worth would be buying a 1000 point VGC and now I'd be lucky to be able to buy a 25 point VB resale!
