Rental Car Care Center Shuttle Timing

Hello

Does anyone have experience using the shuttle from the car care center (near MK)? I see on their website that the shuttle will drop you off at a park or hotel from 7am-7pm, does anyone know how efficient the shuttle is? Ie, does it run continuously, or only on the hour, etc?

If I plan to leave my hotel around 7:30am, get to the car care center by 7:45am... what is a reasonable time that I would make it to Hollywood studios using their shuttle? (I would give 15 min for paperwork, payment, etc), so be ready to take shuttle by 8? Get to HS 8:30? 9? 9:30? Or should I plan to uber to HS?

It's been a few years since I've used it but I feel like I had to wait for the driver to return from another pickup/drop off so it may have been 15-30 minutes

I used it in 2019 and as soon as I dropped off the car I was in the shuttle and back to Pop in about 10 minutes. No chance Uber would have been faster. I think it's going to depend on how busy the car care center is.

In my experience, if there's a driver there, they will take you right away. If they're all out on runs then you might have to wait a bit until one comes back. But it doesn't seem like they wait to have a full van before heading out. I just dropped off a rental car there last weekend, I was approached by three different drivers asking if I needed a ride (I was staying off-property so I didn't, but that gives you a sense of availability).

in our experience, it did not run on a fixed schedule. i think we callled ahead to arrange pickup from our hotel. And then just let them know when we returned car that we needed a ride.

For a pick up you call in advance and schedule it. For a drop off they just ask you when you drop off the car.

I believe when I dropped off the shuttle driver intercepted me and took the keys while driving me back to Pop.

We plan to go to MK from there. I am assuming they would take us to TTC?

Although it would be better to go to Poly for some tonga toast.

It's pretty quick. I think most times recently when I've dropped off someone has come out to greet/meet me, grab the keys, and do the check out. And usually they will ask me if I need a ride, or the shuttle driver is right there. I think one time I had to go inside to drop off the keys (it seemed like there was only one person working), but even that was really quick, I just handed over the keys and I was done.

We used it on Tuesday morning. There was not a line when we got there. We were dropping off a car. It took her less than 5 minutes to check us in and the shuttle took us right away (we were going back to the hotel). If the shuttle is out you will have to wait for it it come back if there is only one driver. For us., it was very quick.

You have to go into the building, or at least we did when we dropped the car off on Tuesday.

I’ve gotten a shuttle immediately and I’ve waited 20 mins. Luck of the draw. In all cases I went straight to my destination but they can combine you with another drop off so direct isn’t guaranteed.

Any chance you can drop the car the night before? Website says Alamo offers after hours drop box, you’d just need a rideshare back to your hotel.

Every so often I have to wait a bit. Most of the time I don't. And this February they weren't using the bigger shuttles that they used to, it was more of a van. So they were more efficient.

I was met as I locked the car. He let a driver know I needed a ride, took the keys and checked in the car. I didn't have to go in at all, and there's never been paperwork to drop off. I waited a few minutes and the driver got me.

We plan to go to MK from there. I am assuming they would take us to TTC?

Yes they take you to TTC for MK.

Hi All. I'm new to WDW and the planning involved.

I see above in the thread that I can book transport from AKL to the CCC. I've booked through Alamo - do I call them directly or is there a direct number for the shuttle to get me to get the car? Also, is it just the driver or can the family come too?

You call the number found in the link in @bumbershoot 's post above. I don't know if there is a limit to how many people they will transport. When I used it I went and picked up the car by myself, then drove back to the resort to pick up the family. On the return I dropped the family off first, dropped off the car and caught the shuttle back.
