I was looking on the restaurant/food thread and saw photos of Remy from Ratatouille at the Restaurant des Stars. Is he still there? Also, I could not find out if he has a set schedule every day. Does anyone know? Thank you.

Hi, I dont think he has a schedule, he is wheeled out on a trolley by a mad chef person who generally hurtles around between tables, stopping for people to take photos - I thought it was hilarious but DS (3) was terrified, he loved the big characters but the tiny rat was too much for him :rotfl:

Remy's appearance schedule used to be on the park programme for Restaurant des Stars - but it was hard to find, not on the main body of the programme. He is there at 1.15, as we usually eat there at around 12.45, and we always see him.

WE ate there around three-ish last year and he was there. I think he is wheeled out every half hour or so, as we had a reeeeeeeaaaaallllllly long lunch and saw him twice!!!!! He's fab, the kids (then 6 and 3) loved him and got loads of photos with him and pretended to feed him cheese. The chef was great with the kids too.

We saw him twice when we went and that was in May this year, guess we're slow eaters!

Whats the food like there? we nearly went in on our last trip but changed our mind when it was looking a bit busy.

I love the food at Restaurant des Stars - each time we've been there has been lots of choice, pasta, beef in wine, a fantastic cheesy zucchini dish, chicken, meatballs with separate pasta sauces, plus plain pasta etc that my DD can add one of the sauces to. The starters are like other buffet restaurants at DLP - salads, breads, cold meats, sliced meat pie, etc etc. And the desserts include rhum baba, crepes, torte etc etc. You can get fresh fruit at this buffet too :goodvibes.

Restaurant des Stars is my favourite buffet restaurant.

Me too!!!! I think I bore people silly about this place.....but then remember the HUGE pile of mussels me and best mate demolished...and then go on about it some more.:flower3:

oh we really loved this restaurant

I think this is the only place the kids actually had a wholesome meal, wholesome as in meat, veg and spuds or pasta and selection of sauces as opposed to nuggets/pizza/burger etc.

Also, ds had a stack of crepes for dessert and they were as good as the ones in the park mmmmmmmmmmmm

the only neggy is that we were sat near the buffet counter, and the noise there combined with the nutty chef roaring her head off made it an extremely LOUD dining experience

here's my kiddies with Remy

and a little of the restaurant( dd is very unhappy here as she hadn't met Ariel yet)

Its in the Studios park, and we usually book it the day before, or even the morning of, our lunch there.
