PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

Initial thoughts...I think everyone will pick this apart piece by piece (limited breakfast option, too many room categories, no gift shop, etc.), but at the end of the day I think it is a wonderful addition to our DVC options. Probably won't buy here, but I'm excited to stay here and enjoy the resort as a whole!
I agree. I will definitely be paying attention to 7 month availability.

I agree glad there is more Polynesian at WDW.

On a side note, just saw another standard view room and this probably takes the cake as the worst one in this tower.

Executive Summary for those that want 20 minutes of their life back: “It’s very nice….But it’s just not The Poly repeated 100x….I want 70s CA style tiki….”
Well, yeah, the vlogger was a bit repetitive, but I appreciated his effort & honesty & focus on Duos, Dlx Studios, lobby & access to amenities.
And for those of us who have an actual life & can't spend hours a day here, others also may find his observations helpful.

The funny thing is people who think Poly started like it looks today. Many changes over the years. Trees will grow and many things will change.

None of the 3 DVC longhouses existed. Pool was different. There was literally 1 theme park…MK. No Epcot.

If it wasn’t for his video, I would have never known about the lack of tiki torches and the limited duo studio views. I’ve also never heard him say “like subscribe and hit that notification bell” since I have been following him. Very balanced and genuine takes.

Does anyone else have standard view photos or videos of the rooms? I am still debating on booking here but don’t want to spend extra on the view. I’m hoping there are some standard rooms with decent views (especially studios).

Agree! And only $35 + tax p/nite!!!
But it was always very tropical like iconic Coco Palms on Kaua'i (see Elvis' "Blue Hawaii") with Longhouses & Tiki torches-See pix (always thought Walt maybe used it as a model)... The Tower is gorgeous & like the hi-rise hotels all over Hawaiian coasts now. Now it's something for everyon who wants a Poly experience.

Waiting until January 2025 will give you 2024 UY points as a bonus, covering all UY’s at that time.
I was already a little confused how that works. If I book in December 2024, does it make any difference than booking in January 2024? I’m an August use year FWIW.

Dues get prorated within the calendar year that you buy. Buying now the prorated on the 2024 points will be low. You will pay full 2025 dues. If buy next year before August, you are still in your 2024 UY. The 2024 points given will have no dues. The 2025 dues will be prorated to when in year purchased.

OMG, I know I should be outraged on this person's behalf, but I can't help laughing. These rooms were a major point of speculation on this thread months ago when that wall was being built, and a bunch of us wondered about the seemingly weird choice. We were hoping the 2nd-floor balcony might end up being larger/deeper so we could see over that wall, but apparently, NOT! Way to turn lemons into plain lemon juice DVC.

The photo/video of that balcony view belongs on the "should have hired an architect" groups on FB and reddit.

That view really does suck. But all the other complaints are making me laugh a little bit because we are a hard group to please.
1. Don’t take away the luau
2. It’s a huge disgusting eyesore
3. It doesn’t match anything - I hate it
4. Hey it’s looking ok but why so much tan and brown
5. Ok, there are pops of color but it doesn’t feel tropical enough
6. The lobby is too small. But why isn’t there a gift shop

To be clear, I have participated in each of those discussions too. I just think it provides a laugh to think off all the different things we have picked apart. I actually think it turned out awesome and I can’t wait to stay. But heaven help me if I get that 2nd floor view!🙂

Who have an actual life? What is that supposed to mean?

The video was monotonous and repetitive, sorry if you’re sensitive about it.
