PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

We have two different VGF contracts, which we sometimes use at home and sometimes use as SAP-- I'll hold our direct contract but seriously considering unloading our resale contract before everybody else realizes how much less pleasant it is with a lot of new guests using the monorail, buses and maybe pools. If I could swap my resale VGF to BLT with no costs, I would do it.

I think they both do not want to pay extra employees, but they also don't want to create scenes of tresspassing guests fighting with pool staff. Just paying whomever is manning the slide to check wristbands might solve some of the problems but I think at least some of the resort pools don't have anybody at the top of the slide, only a light, right?
BLT’s slide has the light, no lifeguard at the top.

This would be a staffing issue as well, I was thinking they could have someone hand out towels and check hotel status. However, the pool crashers would just bring their own towels.

I was looking for a small resale VGF contract to top-up what I currently have. I am thinking of holding off to see how this all plays out, especially now that our vacation pattern is shifting to school breaks.

So, who is competing in the Hunger Games tomorrow morning? Any strategies for getting through to MS early on?
It would not surprise me if someone here knew the exact number of seconds it takes to dial in and get through the automated messages exactly at the time the lines open.

I'm not competing, but I'd be calling with every phone line in the house-- like the old days when you were trying to be the Xth caller on a radio station giveaway. :p You also want to go in with a game plan of A-B-C option dates and room category.

Hahaha I just did this today.. I must say redialing from a landline is much easier than a cell phone.

I’ll be on trying to book DEC 2024 so we will see how it goes.

I'd like to report this post.

Reason: I'm in it and I don't like it

(that said, I don't think I'll be calling in tomorrow, I'm more hoping someone drops a longouse studio)

Me! I'm trying to get a Duo President's weekend and Labor Day weekend with a backup of a tower studio.

I can't wait to join in the games tomorrow.

We need new thread for PIT reservation success/failures by POLY point type new vs original Poly points and the month of the reservation

Example: Booking success, Original Poly, 5 Nights Dec 2024.

Think I am tapping out of the Hunger Games today.
Currently have 1 night SSR (decided to come a day early and only thing out there) then 8 nights in PVB studio.
Was going to try to manipulate our points to get 2 nights in a PIT 1BR. Would be 3 rooms in 4 nights.
I really wanted to try out PIT but with having 42 more years to use it I feel that change rooms like that with a 4 and 1 year old might be a lot and wouldn't be able to fully unpack until day 4 after a long park day.

Any experience with short splits or more the 2 splits? Looked on other boards but seems like the best info I get HERE! lol

We routinely do 3 resort splits when we travel because we book inside 7 months. We also like different resorts for different things. This upcoming DEC we have 2 nights in an AKL 1BR, 3 nights in a BRV 1BR, and then trying to get 3 nights in a PIT studio (currently booked in a resort studio at VGF).

We have 3 kids 13, 9, and 2. Our kids each like different resorts for pools or dining so we try to hit at least 2 each trip.

I just did this in September (with a 4 year old and a 1 year old) - two splits, short stays - the idea was looking at different resorts to think about a new home add on.

We got very lucky for our first two check ins and had a room before 1pm. Our last check in was touch and go, but it was ultimately a good experience. We did not unpack at any point, and I would not do it again except with the goal of seeing lots of different resorts.

I think it really depends on time of year and your kids. I have heard rumors of kids who can go without a nap or who can nap in a stroller, but those ain’t my kids.

If you’re going to be at SSR anyway, why not check out the model room there?

Spending time at resort is new to us. We are park open to close everyday we are there people even our last trip when my son was 2.5
We are hoping to pry ourselves away from that a little with DVC and enjoy the resorts. Just worried about 1-2 nights being almost pointless.
