That's never been how it works. There's supposed to be a time limit between refills to discourage people from using the mugs to fill a larger container, but I think it's only 2 minutes. If you get a paper cup, I think you can only fill it up 4 times in an hour (because it's only intended to be used for one meal), but the mugs have unlimited refills for the length of time they're purchased for (I believe it's 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, or length of stay.) And I've never heard anything about resorts disabling the chips due to complaints.

Okay Great. I have read on the Dis about resorts disabling the chips and the cups having a maximum # of refills per day. So, I am glad to know that it is not the case. Thanks for setting the record straight. :-)

Since we are on the topic of refillable mugs, is there a new one this year?:thumbsup2 Or is it the same bell services one from last year?:sad1:

Do all King Rooms have a Murphy Bed? My reservation says King Bed but it doesn't specify that it will have a Murphy Bed. Are the only (King) rooms with a Murphy bed in AB? What are the chances or getting a King room in AB?

We'll be there Easter Week. Middle child is getting married at the Wedding Pavilion that week. Looking forward to celebrating our 30th anniversary too. Maybe we'll see you.

Only King rooms in AB have Murphy beds.

so if you want a king and murphy you have to be in AB?

If you want a murphy bed at all, you need to have an AB room, and that applies to the rooms with two queens or with one king.

There are no murphy beds in the mansion buildings.

But its not possible to know from the reservations details that my King will be in AB, right? My best best is to fax a request in? And also do online check in?

Thanks!

Correct on all counts. Have your request added to your booking info in advance, do online checkin if you wish, and then 3-5 days before arrival send a fax.

How many are on your booking though? If there are three people (two adults and one child for example) in a King Room booking, then there is no alternative but for the resort to assign you an AB room. <idle musing: there is actually no extra cost to add a child's name onto an existing two-adult booking... ;) >

Thanks so much for putting my mind at ease Andre. The booking has 2 adults and 1 infant as guests. I will ask my TA to add my request to the booking info as well. 130 days and counting, LOL!

Thanks to your POR website and map, I already have a room in mind as well ;)

An infant doesn't count as a person according to Disney so that could still put you in Magnolia Bend without a murphy bed.

Just got back yesterday from a 5 night stay for marathon weekend at POR. It was a great time. My second time but I was with my grandparents and my aunt and uncle this being their first time. We were in building 39, room 3923. Only one problem with the room the hair dryer was broken but they can in and fixed it quickly after we called. POR is definitely becoming a favorite of mine. Didn't head to the main pool this time only seam in the quiet pool which no one seemed to be using at all.

Maybe I've been under a rock but I was just clicking around on PortOrleans.org and saw that Riverside is now offering a continental breakfast at River Roost? Surely its not a free continental breakfast? Why would they do this? Just curious....

Exactly, to guarantee AB with a King Bed you would need to have a child aged 3 or over along with the two adults. Or at least have such a child listed on the booking, anyway. As long as there is no Dining Plan or ticket package involved in the booking that wouldn't change the pricing at all, and you know how easily these little mistakes with quoted ages can happen... ;)

No, it's not free (this is Disney after all) and have you seen the crowds in the Riverside Mill around breakfast time?! :)

I wish they'd just re-open Boatwright's for breakfast to be honest, but I wonder if doing so would mean making changes at the other moderates too.
