Point borrowing question

I am drawing a mental borrowing blank. 11 month window opens tomorrow. I have a September UY with 145 2025 points coming- no 2024 left to bank. Can I borrow 2026 points to make this ressie? Would rather know now than set an alarm on a Sunday morning

You can make a reservation that starts any time on after Sep 1, 2025, and borrow Sep 2026 points if needed. That reservation can be made 11-months out form date of arrival for home resort, and 7-months out for others, i.e., the date you contact MS to do the reservation and do the borrowing of 2026 points can be long before Sep 2025. Example, tomorrow, December 22,2024, you could reserve a home resort room with an arrival date of Nov 22, 2025, and borrow points from Sep 2026 use year when making that reservation.

Thanks so much for this. I knew since on was for travel after my UY started I was fine using the 2025 points, just blanking if I could borrow 2026 points before Sept’25. Again- thanks!

Yes, a reservation starting 11/22/2025 is in your 2025 use year & thus you can use your 145 2025 points + however many 2026 points you need to borrow .
