Mickey Character Dining: Tusker House (10:20am late breakfast reservation into lunch) or lunch at Hollywood & Vine? We’ll have breakfast at Boma on a different day if that makes a difference.

Epcot FoA Broadway Dining Package: La Crêperie or Spice Road?

Family of 4 (kiddos are 12 and 9). We’re pretty adventurous eaters (except our 12yo, but she does like Indian food). Thanks!

We have never done Hollywood & Vine but we had a great experience at Tusker House. We also did the late breakfast where they start to put out the lunch offerings.

Great photos with the characters in their savanna outfits.

I’d go for Hollywood and Vine due to the time. At 10:20am it’s still a nice time to be doing things in AK. By lunch at DHS it’s nice to get out of the crowds.

Have you checked out both menus for EP? They are extremely different…

Thanks! Yes, I’ve checked out both menus. We like Mediterranean food and we like crepes, so if the restaurants are good, we’d enjoy either.

You might want to watch some videos on H&V and Tusker. The food at H & V has improved. But I find the layout crowded and chaotic. We love Tusker, and ask for one of the side rooms.

If you are having breakfast at Boma, I’d wait and do full lunch at Tusker —10:40 would interrupt almost any touring plan.

As long as it isn’t Chilly, spice road. We like the crepes, which you can get at the window. But we don’t love the dining experience.

I can't recommend the late breakfast into lunch at Tusker more. Absolutely love it. But you also have to like the flavors otherwise for sure H and V.
We love Indian cuisine (and Cuban/Caribbean, Mexican, Spanish, Mediterranean, Thai, etc.), so even though I don’t have a lot if experience with African dishes, I’m guessing we’ll enjoy the flavors. Standard American fare is towards the bottom of my list if choosing between different international cuisine, lol.

Thanks! We’re planning on 7:30 early entry, so was thinking we’d be hungry by 10:20, but lunch might be better.

If you love the more international flavor profiles, you won't want to miss the Tusker green curry shrimp. Breakfast is more americanized

I would do TH. H&V has never been a good experience for us and you really don't need a dining package to see the Broadway shows during the festival. I would still go to La Creperie or Spice Road as the food at both is very good if it's in your budget.

I can't speak to your Epcot selections but as long as you are good with the flavor profiles (which you already mentioned your family is) I think either H&V or Tusker House will work just fine.

I will second a few points I have seen already brought up. Relatively speaking, for a Disney restaurant, Tusker House feels much more open and easy to navigate. H&V isn't terrible but it's just a bit more what you would expect. DW and I are not huge buffet fans unless it's breakfast, but since DD came along we have done a few for the characters. That being said, I think the food at Tusker is better but H&V is perfectly acceptable. Character interactions could vary from sitting to sitting if you get a different person in the costume or even a handler. We had great experiences at both. One fun point to H&V is that there are often seasonal costumes. When we went over the week of Thanksgiving 2 years ago they had on Christmas costumes which DD and her cousins loved. You'd need to check into that before booking, though.

Neither is a bad choice but I would probably be inclined to agree with what someone else mentioned about getting a break from the crowds and, depending on the time of year, the heat in the middle of the day at HS by choosing lunch at H&V. And, as much as DW and I like to have a TS meal, we both enjoy Satuli canteen so much in AK that we sometimes skip the TS altogether in AK.

Whatever you choose, enjoy!
