Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

It’s one of my favorite HS attractions and is harder to get an early LL for since it’s a very popular tier 2, along with TSM
You can walk on it first thing in the morning.

I also walked on around half an hour before Fantasmic despite the listed wait time but it was a quiet park time in Sept.

What has everyone's experiences been with the single pass lightning lanes selling out? All the single pass rides are rides that I'm the only one in my family that will want to go on. However, I'm unsure what times exactly I'll be able to do them. Is there a big risk of the single passes selling out before the day off? If I at least know I'm going to ride something is it at least worth it to buy the pass now and then try to modify it the day off? I'm just worried if I don't buy a head of time I will lose any chance to ride at all.
Every time I’ve looked at booking GOTG day of it’s sold out. When I’ve looked at modifying my SPLL when I had one nothing was available.

Bottom line- book it as soon as you can. Say bye to the fam for half an hour to go enjoy it and re-join the group.

Wondering what to do as we are going during the busiest week of the year. We will buy the multipass lightning lane, visiting all 4 parks (we have hoppers), and plan to use EE. I'm considering hedging my bets a little on the premise that I think we can knock out a ride like Remy with EE and hopefully another, and then start the LL rides a bit later to carry us through as the wait times get worse. I am wondering whether we'll be able to book additional LL later in the day as we go on the days after Christmas. Am I worried for nothing? Or is there a real chance I won't be able to book more as we go on those days?

There's certainly a chance you won't be able to get Tier 1 attractions as the day goes on, however, I'm a big believer in the refresh method, which worked well for me on the last trip. However, disclaimer, that trip was in September, and you're talking about the days after Christmas, which are far more crowded. But you should be okay with the attractions you book 7 days in advance.

Help needed, please.

I just booked LLs for a few days for our upcoming trip and on one of those days, the app gave me times in the morning, but we wanted to have a late day that day.

Yet when I go to modify the times, it will show me only earlier times. How can I get to see and choose times later in the day?

I realize this must be described somewhere in this thread, but I cannot find it.

Thanks.

Ah. I figured it out. For anyone else who doesn't know this: You just select whatever time they give you on the Modify function, then they will let you modify that. I was able to fix to the times I wanted.

We have about a month until our trip, but I see on the app LL opening up one day at a time each day. Tomorrow would be the first day of my trip to open up but will I be able to buy bc I had read 7 days in advance?

If you're staying on-site, you can purchase 7 days in advance and no sooner. It may look like you could, but when you get to the screen where you designate who the LLs are for, it'll say everyone is ineligible.

As @Miffy indicated you can't purchase until 7 days before your resort arrival date. What you are seeing is the rolling 21 day window on the MDE LLMP and/or LLSP Calendar.

A quick way to remember your 7 day mark is exactly 1 week before your day of your resort arrival day. If you arrive on a Monday then you can begin booking your LLMP and/or LLSP initial selections the Monday before your arrival day.

Can 2 people log in to MDE app at the same time using the same username & password to purchase? Trying to get multiple days quickly lol

Technically Yes but it is not advisable and it does not work as you might expect it to work.

The issue is with the 5 minute hold period for your LLMP and/or LLSP selections within the MDE app. Either use 2 MDE Accounts or just spend the few extra minutes making your selections from 1 MDE account. It is not worth the effort.

So 2 accounts linked as traveling together would be able to purchase at the same time without hold period then and is the fastest way to purchase multiple days?

Yes and even when using 2 MDE accounts linked as Friends & Family, it is best to split your selections based on individual days. Also plan to have more than 1 payment option loaded in your MDE Account Profile if you are making purchases for a large group. Multiple large purchase over a very short time period may trigger Fraud holds.

Notes: You can have up to 6 different payment methods loaded in your MDE Account. While you can't preload Gift Card (GF) Numbers in your profile, you can store your GF numbers in a note on your smartphone to make it easier to cut / paste into the MDE LLMP and/or LLSP purchase step.

I appreciate your help!

If I buy the single pass for Tron, will Disney allow me to visit the ride at anytime after my eligible hour? Or have they buckled down on that flexibility? TY!

Hi Dave, agreed. But will the cast members allow me to use it after the hour, and 15-minute grace period are up?
Are you planning to miss your LLSP window on purpose? While the CMs at Tron are not as flexible as GotG CMs at Epcot most will allow some flexibly for a late return. But please don't abuse the system. If everyone with a LLSP treats their attraction LLSP as an anytime pass everyone suffers.

Highly doubtful you’ll get another Tier 1 LL if you don’t tap into something exactly at park open during a crazy busy time, they’re hard enough to get during slow times. I’m sure something will be available but it’ll be low level stuff. Do realize if you want to get more than Remy out of EE you need to make sure you are at the front of the IG pack. (Do NOT RD Remy if you’re not staying IG, that’s pointless.)

Maybe, but they can say no and you won’t get a refund. We were an hour late for GOTG SPLL last week and it went blue and the CM was like “uhhh, you’re late…” and we said we were at lunch and then she cleared us. I won’t risk it again.

I’m glad I came across this..I was planning for my husband to be on MDE (my account) and purchase PPs for 2 days and I was going to going to do the other 2 PPs At 7 am sharp for fear they will sell out. Why do you advise against this? What do you mean about the hold period?

You mention PP as in Premiere Pass while our discussion here is about the LLMP and/or LLSP. You should be able to make all PP days with only 1 person making the purchases. LLPP purchases are just a date and a park so no need spend the time trying to arrange your return times to be an an order (during the 5 minute hold time to complete the transaction.

Again the issue is with making LLMP an/or LLSP purchases where you have to select the day, attraction, and time. For LLMP and purchases your selections and the return times are held for 5 minutes while you complete the purchase transaction.

Using multiple instances of the same MDE account and trying to perform the exact function often results in one instance failing and it normally takes a couple of minutes to figure out which transaction worked and which failed.

Thank you for clarifying. I didn’t mean to hijack the thread. I will take the advice and just do it all myself. If I can’t get them in time, it was meant to be !
