Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

I apologize if this has already been mentioned, but I have a question. My husband is limited in what he can ride. What I've gleaned from what I've read on here is that the best way to handle this is to go ahead and make our initial LLMP selections for all of us, including him, and then go in and modify his selections for the ones he cannot do. My question is can I just cancel him from one or two of the rides vs modifying to something else? He is unlikely to want to go ride something else by himself and is perfectly happy to sit and people watch until we get off the ride that isn't suitable for him. Then, as he'd only have one or two LL's booked we could just book our next one for all of us, including him, assuming it was something he could ride.

Thanks!

You don't want to do it that way. Using this process will not unlock your husband's ability to book without the tier restrictions and the ability to book additional LLMP selections in other parks if you have park hoppers.

Then, as he'd only have one or two LL's booked we could just book our next one for all of us, including him, assuming it was something he could ride.
The simple method is to have him stay with you and walk through the LL Queue and then take the Chicken Exit for your first LLMP attraction. This will allow you to book additional LLMP attractions as a group.

An alternative to this is to ask the CM at the LL Queue to mark your husband's LLMP selection as used and he can sit and people watch while you ride and as you walk through the Queue and then you can make additional LLMP selections for the group.

I paid for everyone as a group (easier and faster) and just intend to send my MB with the other adult to tap me in for the rides I’m sitting out. Do you think that will be allowed?

I just booked this morning at 7:00 am sharp. Staying onsite so this was my 7 day mark. I got everything I wanted but wasn’t (and still not) happy with all of the times. I’m modifying as I can to get better timing.
My message from other thread for those not following it.

Officially no it is not allowed under the Disney rules for LLMP.

However it is up to the CM's discretion at the LL return Queue. It is very easy to just tell the CM what you are doing and if they know how to use their tablet it is very easy for them to mark your LLMP as used to unlock the tiers for you for the rest of your day.

I think I’m over thinking and have confused myself with simple math. 🤪

We check into a Disney resort on November 21, first park day on November 22. Im thinking I can purchase LLMP on November 14 but it could be the 15. Do you count the actual day you arrive and count back 7 or is the day before your arrive and count back 7

I keep seeing people suggest practicing making the LLMP purchase and it tells them when they can actually make their purchase

How far into the practice do you get before it tells you the date you can purchase?

I don’t want to mess up anything with my current tickets and park reservations if I go too far in the process 😂.

We are using our old non expiring tickets. Already have park reservations

Thanks for any info and sorry for a stupid question that I should know the answer but my head has me second guessing myself 😂

happened to go in to MDE and do the practice LLMP thing, only to discover that it says I can book our LLMP on the Sunday before we arrive. Wait - what? Shouldn’t that be Saturday before, i.e., 7 days prior to our on site arrival? The LLMP booking date it was giving me was 3 days before the start of the date based tix or only 6 days before on site arrival.

Confused, I called WDW IT to ask about this. They weren’t sure why it was giving that LLMP booking date, as the “7 days prior to on site” rule should override the “3 day” rule. The CM consulted with her team and then another escalated team. They had not run in to this issue before and could not figure out why this was, nor how to fix/override it.

I am going in January too, and have tickets and room booked as a package. If I go in to practice LLMP I don't see a specific date when I can book (just a link to the general rules).

So maybe it's just a quirk with how the "booking date" is displayed in MDE - and when you get closer to your stay the date associated with your hotel stay will show up.

Given the experience mentioned about timing quirks, I'm curious if anyone else has has tickets starting before hotel arrival and their experience with LLMP booking at 7 days. This is the situation we're in, the tickets start one day prior to resort check in.

We have tickets starting 2 days before our mid-January checkin, so I'm watching for reports from others with who have done the same. This post has me concerned - https://www.disboards.com/threads/p...-world-starting-july-24.3948850/post-65711809

It’s way too early to see your dates. It only show a rolling 21-day calendar

Yes, it will. We've done it many times.

ETA: We've never wasted time talking to a CM beforehand, I just tap 2 bands as I go in. It makes no logical sense for Disney to not allow this as really you're giving them extra money for something you're not even using completely. We've done it for yrs and have never had anyone bat an eye. Again, if they asked I'd just explain; I am 100% confident at the end of the day this is not something Disney is going to be against or have an issue with in real life.

I'm curious if this potential issue exists if tickets start the same day as your hotel check-in, even if you aren't going to a park until your second day (the day after check-in). It seems like from the example given the potential issue arises if the tickets start before the date of check-in.

Just returned from a trip. The tickets I purchased were date based and could be used 8/26-9/7. Our resort check in date was 8/30 and I wasn't able to book LL until 8/23 (exactly 7 days before check in which was also 3 days before tickets were active). There was no issue. LL can be made exactly one week (7 days) before check in or 3 days before initial use date of tickets. Both of those landed on the same day for me. I practiced a few days ahead and the app let me know what day I could follow through with the purchase.

In our case, 3 days before tickets being active is 6 days before checkin, so I’m watching for similar reports.

Well, did some ILL and one MPLL day this morning.

Had NO issues what so ever getting the times we wanted for ILL. We were after Rise (just for my friend on her DHS day) and Guardians (for both of us on our main Epcot day). She got late morning times for both easily even though her phone was acting up this morning.

I then logged in at like 7 and decided I wanted to do MPLL for that Epcot day. Again, NO problems. Got Soarin', Living with the Land, and Spaceship Earth right after the other (well, with Guardians in between Soarin' and Spaceship Earth). Soarin' is at 9am too. We plan to do early entry that day at 8:30 for Frozen and then head up to start our LLs.

I wasn't going to do MPLL for Epcot, but I have been having more health issues so decided taking ONE stressed off for less then $20 per person was worth it.

I will say, I looked at Epcot for today and there were plenty of times available this morning.

Hi all - my 2 daughters are doing a 1 day trip on Thursday, Sept 12. Today @ 7am was their LLMP booking day. They were able to book BTMR and Pirates for the times they wanted, but the Haunted Mansion selection was for too late in the day. They booked it anyway as a place holder hoping to modify to earlier.
  • If they are unable to modify Haunted Mansion to earlier, are they able to modify that selection to a ride in a different park (even though it is one of the 1st 3 selections)?
  • If so, can they do this now or do they have to wait until after their first tap-in on the 12th?

No it does not matter if it would replace one of the 3 initial LLMP selections or be an additional selection. They can't book a different park until they enter the first park and tap into their first LLMP selection to unlock tiers and multi park LLMP selections.

No again they have to tap into their first attraction to unlock multi park.

Hi Dave! So if they are unable to modify their 3rd LLMP (Haunted Mansion) to an earlier time, after they tap into their 1st LLMP on the 12th, they can change the 3rd LLMP (Haunted Mansion) to a ride in a different park?

Correct once they tap into their first LLMP then they can modify their LLMP for HM to any attraction at any park. This assumes that they have park hopping tickets. Also they can even modify their Pirates LLMP once they tap into the first LLMP selection.

And don't forget they get to book a replacement for their BTMR as soon as they tap in.
