I don't think the games area would be accessible unless you were a guest as it is attached to the pool area and usually they restrict these areas to guests only. As the area is on a higher floor than the lobby I believe you can only access it via the elevator with a room key.
We just returned from a 5 night stay at Pixar Place. I only caught a glimpse of Bing Bong once in the lobby.... it was late afternoon timeframe, and we saw Joe Garden playing once, maybe around 5ish? I never saw any specific times listed, but we also weren't set on trying to see them.
We were told at the front desk that yes, you could use the Pixar Place specific entry beginning at 7am. We were never up that early to confirm, though.
We had a room that bordered the elevator bank on the 9th floor - never heard any noise on the elevator side. For the most part, we didn't have any noise issues except for one morning. There was a small child/baby with a nasty cough and a parent being kind of noisy one morning. We can't be sure if they were in the hallway just outside our room or in the room next door (it was a connecting room, so perhaps near the connecting door is where they were?). But that was the only time we noticed any noise. Nothing bad though.
Oh thanks for the clarification. We arrive in a couple weeks for a two night stay and then we move over to the villas for 7 nights. Really looking forward to checking everything out at the hotel, all the artwork and new spaces. It all looks so bright and colourful and so much fun.
We definitely intend to use that entrance for EE on one of our mornings. I am going to get plastic room keys from the front desk as I never totally trust phones solely as an entry option. You never know when something might go wrong so its always good to have a back up so you can get through the gates and turnstiles without being held up. Those early morning moments are precious.
I'd recommend the physical keys - was very easy to access the Grand California and DCA entrance by just flashing the card. We also opted for the MagicBands and they made badging into the gates and lightning lanes SOOO easy... we bypassed so many people fumbling with their phones to pull those things up.
Yes thats exactly what we plan to do. We didn't have MB's last time and we got so sick of opening the App, choosing the tickets, scanning and then scrolling to the next person, so much easier if everyone can just hold up their MB's.
Hello and yes, I used the guest laundry room at Pixar Place Hotel in August. I used my room key to enter. It was on the second floor.
Oh, that's too bad. I guess it's better than having them close during the summer, though!
This is definitely a "good news, bad news" situation. Around 10 years ago, the (then) Paradise Pier pool closed for a lengthy refurbishment at the end of our late summer trip (bad news). The good news was that our roomkey cards gave us access to the Disneyland Hotel pool which thrilled our daughters since they were able to try out the more elaborate monorail water slides.
That happened to us when we stayed at DLH hotel one year, too. We used Paradise Pier pool.
