i have pics that i would like to get on the web so family and friends can see them. Does anyone have any suggestions on a free site i can sign up with and do this?

Photobucket
Image Station
Snapfish
Ofoto
Shutterfly
PBase
Just to name a few. . . .

I am giving Smugmug.com a try. It's a paid service but has unlimited storage capacity. So far, I've been impressed. If interested, let me know as I have a $5 off coupon code.

Hi Scott. Does that site do hotlinks??

Hotlinks? Do you mean like this? (You get a series of different sizes from tiny to large. This is the medium size.)

You get 4GB bandwidth/month with the standard subscription.

Hmmm, I might take a look at the site. I mostly use photobucket, on subscription, for pictures, and Stu's (the one you put me on to) for sound files. I mostly take my pictures for sharing here on the DIS.

Very nice picture there, Scott. Looks like you are enjoying your new camera. Best wishes for the New Year to you, Merrie, and the kids.

One more vote for Smugmug. It seems a little slow sometimes but that may just be my internet connection. Otherwise, I'm very happy with it also.

yahoo photos has unlimited storage and is free. I've also used webshots and photobucket.

I started using shutterbook. You can add music to the slide shows.
