Paying Dues Early(ish)?

What date will our 2025 dues be posted?
Member accounting thought the statements would start going out in about 2 weeks but they didn't know for sure.

Last year it was released via statements (not showing in the account yet) about a month away from the condo meeting.

This year the meeting is on 12/12/24 so maybe today or tomorrow?

That may have been why the member site was down early in the am.

Thanks, I just bought DVC in October so I had no idea. I have a bunch of gift cards that were refunded when my cash stay was transferred to using my DVC points, that are burning a hole in my pocket.

Got my Aulani in the snail mail already. I was reluctant to buy another Aulani resale prior to dues being released, I took Aulani being released way before the others as a sign from the universe to proceed 🤣

After they have been released you will see them by clicking on "My DVC" drop down and then "My Annual Dues"

I believe you will have to enroll in autopay of a bank account to use the gift cards to pay the dues which seems to only be offered to US residents.

(I'm in the US) - Yes, we have enrolled in autopay with a bank account linked. The payments are monthly, spread out through the year. I will typically go in each month a few days prior to the payment getting pulled from my bank account and use the discounted GCs to pay that month. You can also pre pay a few months or all etc. This way I get the benefit of not having to pay all up front, and use my discounted GCs rather than defaulting to being pulled from my checking account.

When I paid the partial dues for 2024 it just let me choose from Bank/Credit/Gift Card.

I've been able to prepay some of my dues using a Disney gift card - I'm Canadian. I used my US funds in Paypal to buy the gift cards from the Disney Store, which is a nice way to not lose out on the ridiculous conversion fees Paypal charges.

Does Paypal have an account for both CAD and USD or just USD and you get FX when funds enter/exit?

Paypal lets you hold balances in more than one currency so in my case yes, CAD and USD. But if someone from the US is paying me in CAD funds, Paypal charges the foreign exchange fees to me at the time the funds enter and then the funds are held in CAD. I can then transfer the CAD funds to my Canadian bank account. If I'm paid in USD, the funds stay in USD, but I can't transfer them to my Canadian bank account, even one that I have in USD at my bank, without converting them to Canadian funds, cue the forex fees again. I don't have a bank account located in the US, so being able to spend the money as USD is my workaround with the fees.
