Optimal Uber/Lyft pick-up location at Universal (Orlando)

Hello,

I am planning on using Uber or Lyft to go from Pop Century to Universal Studios for a day. Since I have never used these services before I am concerned about how to get back to Pop Century at the end of the day (presuming that somewhere between 9pm-11pm or later we’ll be ready to head back to Pop Century).

Is there an optimal location at Universal that I could/should use when we ready to contact Uber/Lyft for our ride back to Disney?

Many thanks for the idea. I know a few years back we stayed 1 night at the Hard Rock Hotel in order to get get 2 days worth of park benefits that were available at that time. I remember that when we walked back to the Hard Rock Hotel, that you needed some kind of pass (it was probably our room key) to enter the hotel grounds. I'm worried that if it still works that way then we might have trouble this time since we are not guests.

Anyone can be in the hotel lobbies

You can wait outside the hotel in front where pick ups and drop offs are done

It is common that peeps use hotel as pick up places for rides if they do t want to use the taxi stand / scheduled ride pick up location at city walk

Thanks for your responses (much appreciated). So, at the end of the day when you walk from the Universal parks back to the Hotel, I remember that the path to the Hard Rock Hotel takes you to the rear of the hotel (not the lobby), and that the rear entrance was gated so that you had to have your room key to past the gate. Thus, my concern is about the logistics of getting to the Lobby since the path takes you to a rear, gated entrance (as I remember it anyway). Thanks again for working through this with me.

There is no gate that I know of at HRH to get in property. I just walked through the front doors, walked around and took pictures, then walked out the back down to the boat launch area and then took the walking path back to citywalk.

That's the only place I've ever been picked up/dropped off and I've never had a problem the past 10 years of doing so!

Reviving this to clarify where the bus/drop off/taxi spot is: Is it at the edge of City Walk or close to the entrance to the two parks?

I will be coming from offsite using Lyft and want to be dropped off as close as possible to the entrance and same thing at the end of the day when returning to our hotel. Thanks!

Edge of city walk is where the busses wait

Look at the map of UO and see if hotel drop off would be closer for you

Hrh walkway is closest to the studios
