Online Checkin????

I keep getting "Error... Disney can not display that reservation at this time."

I can't get hold of our TA. I know the # is correct because CMs have asked for it to make some adrs. Ugh!

I tried repeatedly to check-in online yesterday. After four hours I finally succeeded. Just keep at it & good luck!!

 Keep trying, I just got my on-line check in completed!!! Took 4 days, but it is finally done! Sending everyone else pixie dust. :tinker:

Got hold of our TA-she never did it before so she called Disney. She was told there are problems just keep trying.

If normal check-in time is 3 pm but we're showing up around 8 am will our package be ready that early if we do the online check-in or is it a waste to even bother?

We arrived a little before 11 am and our room was ready, I imagine it just depends on availability.

It shouldn't be a problem. Your room might not be ready, but you can check in and get you KTTW card/tickets, etc. I checked in Wednesday and my dad did on Thursday. Neither of us had any problems at all.

silly questions:
a) why does online check in make it faster at the counter?
b) can I as a canadian do the online check in? (there have been issues with other things before that I can't. ie pre boarding, etc.

Here's a wrinkle that finally got mine to work (and credit the reservations person who spoke the least English to come up with it).

My reservation was through Vacationoutlet.com, and since they're also a travel agent that's the radio button option I thought I was supposed to use - it was the only one that seemed to make sense. Wrong.

If you have a long hotel confirmation number and it isn't working on it's own through mydisneyreservation.com, select the option for "through a group or convention" and see if it works. That's what brought up mine, and since I'm neither part of a group nor in a convention I would never have selected it on my own.

I used it just a couple of hours of hours ago and it worked fine the first try. It makes arrival so much easier. You go to a special line, everything is already prepared for you, they hand you your folder, show you a map to your room, and unless you have any questions, they send you on. I've done it the last 3 trips and LOVED it!!!!

I would definitely use online check in. We used it twice when we went from a room only reservation on 8/15 to a package on 8/16. It was definitely quicker and everything was all ready for us, all we had to do was decide which park to hit first.

I leave friday morning and i still can't check in online, I guess I'll be waiting in line.

oh good to know! I guess I will try online check in in a little bit. We got the link in our e-mail. We arrive MONDAY!!!!!!!! YAHOO!!!!!

For those of you who booked thru Expedia, this is the method that works! I just checked in this morning for my trip this weekend :cool1:

So, has anyone checked in online, and received an upgrade? I'm not expecting one, but would hate to mess up any chance of getting one. Right now, we're booked standard view at BC, with no complaints, but an upgrade sure would be nice! :goodvibes

I wanted to know the answer to this same question, and got no responses... Maybe someone can answer it!!!

I was reading a thread the other day about upgrades people had received, and I do believe one person mentioned that they got one after doing online check-in, since there is still a cast member at that desk.

However, since it's such a new system that most people aren't utilizing yet (or have been able to use because of technical errors) you probably won't find too many people who have experienced upgrades yet
