Alright I'm about 6-7 months behind to make this trip report.

A little background story. My wife and I got married on April 24th, 2009 and went on a honeymoon to WDW 04/26/09 to 05/03/09. See that trip report here:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2186962

So flashforward to September 2009, we find out great news that my wife, Brandi is pregnant for our first child! Yay! Well me being the Disney Freak that I am, my wife is half way there, lol. So I start thinking "man when we have this baby, it's going to be a while before I get back to WDW" Now I know what you are going to say, just take the newborn to WDW. We that's not going to go well with my wife. So I convinced her to go to WDW one more time before the baby comes. So we decided to go during Christmas time since she has never been to WDW during that time and we would be celebrating my wife's 29th birthday. (Nov. 25th) and the upcoming arrival of Baby Breaux!. (Oh side note, as I start this trip report my wife is due in 3 weeks. It's possible the baby will be here before I finish this trip report, lol)

So this trip report is for our trip to WDW Nov. 29th, 2009 to Dec. 6th 2009.

Parties involved.

Me , Todd 35
my wife, Brandi, 29
my mom, Debbie, 57, I think?
my dad, Turk, 62

So we booked two rooms for our stay at Disney's Beach Club Resort. This is the first time we have stayed there and the reason we choose this place was a nice 40% AP discount.

So where do I start.Travel I guess. Real simple. Drove from our home town, Lafayette, LA to New Orleans to catch a flight on Southwest to Orlando. (first time flying on SW) We took Magical Express to our resort.
We had a great driver that made our trip just that more special.

Check out the video.

So we arrive at the Beach Club where I had made arrangemets to meet up with Teena the greeter. She informed us that some pixie dust was sprinkled on our vacation and our rooms were upgrated to concierge level, Stone Harbor Club here we come. Thank you so much Teena!! You're the best!

Check out this next video of our arrival to the Beach Club!

Coming up on the next installment. Day #2 Magic Kingdom with dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table.

Hey, look I'm first!!! We were at WDW for a couple of the same days at the end of your stay (we were at BLT). We're headed to BC in July so I'm excited to see all your pictures. They are beautiful! ETA: In that picture of Spaceship Earth, are those the villas?

Best wishes and congrats on the new baby by the way!

Congrats on the upcoming arrival of your baby! We are staying at BC CL in a garden view room in August. Were you able to see spaceship earth from your balcony?? that would be soooo cool! Last July ('09) we stayed non CL standard room at BC and looked at trees but at night could see some of illuminations fireworks over the tree tops.
Looking forward to hearing your impressions of the stone harbor club.

Can't wait to read your entire report. We will be there in August. Love pictures, lots of pictures.

Yes those were the villas between us and Spaceship Earth. Also we could see some of the higher fireworks for Illuminations but we had to look to our right. It wasn't the best but was a nice touch.

followed you over from the B&Y thread. Great pics so far.

I'm in....what a wonderful upgrade and a nice view of BC entrance and Epcot too! Looking forward to reading more!

Love what you have so far. Excited to read about Beach Club since we are staying there real soon. Love the 'Ohana dinner pics too, one of our favorite places to eat. Congrats on your soon to arrive sweet baby!

So today was our first full day and we have Magic Kingdom planned. My wife and mom are not commandos like my dad and I so they slept late and dad and I headed to MK early to see the opening ceremony. I love to see this at least once each trip.

The Magic Kingdom always looks great at Christmas Time!

MK-SM-15.jpg

So after that It gets a little blurry on what we did in what order but here are some things that we did.

Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, Tomorrowland Transit Autority (not impressed with the new narration), Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion (they made us three adults get in one Doombuggy), Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder Mountain, and Country Bear Jamboree.

Riding Big Thunder. (the beginning of the ride didn't film for some reason)

We also caught the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade.

I have a video of that also.

For dinner we ate at Cinderella's Royal Table. It had been years since we ate there. I think it was still call King Stephan's Banquet Hall the last time. The food was good.

The last thing we did was catch the Castle Lighting ceremony.

MK-Castle-Ltg-13.jpg

MK-Castle-Ltg-15.jpg

About that time my wife was tired from the day and we went back to the resort even though we had planned to watch Spectromagic and Wishes that evening.

That will do it for day #2. Tomorrow, Day #3 Segway Tour and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

Look at how cute you guys look! It just makes me want to :grouphug: Heheh.
What a fantastic start. Upgrade to concierge? Fabulous! I finally caught the castle lighting show for the first time in December, too. Loved it.

So on our third day the plan was for me and my dad to wake up early for the new Segway Tour : Nature Inspired Design. My wife and mom were sleeping in late.

So dad and I headed over to the International Gateway to get in for our tour. They opened up the gates a little late and we had to make it quickly to the front of the park. I love getting in early to Disney Parks with no one or very few people in the parks.

Epcot-01-Morning-Empty.jpg

Epcot-03-Morning.jpg

So we made it just in time. Dad and I have done Segway Around the World Tour before so we have experience on a Segway. This new tour was great. We were taken to Innoventions West to the area where the Epcot 25th anniversary display was shown. The poster were still on the wall but all the memorabilia was gone. So we watched a video and trained on the operation of the Segway. After this training period we were off to explore. This tour uses the X-2 Off-road Segway. We got to ride back stage at the Land, where we were front lined onto Soarin. Also we toured Living with the Land backstage and behind the scenes at The Living Seas. We were shown the pumps and water control system. At the end we got to ride around on the helicopter pad behind the Living seas. It was great. They even had the old Living Seas logo on the helipad, all be it, it was almost faded away. So over all this was an excellent tour and well worth the price. I recommend it. Sorry I don't have any pictures of this experience. Since we were backstage no pictures were allowed.

After the tour we returned back to the Beach Club taking a few pictures along the way.

So my dad and I returned to find that my mom, Debbie and my wife, Brandi slept in late and ordered room service breakfast so they were not hungry for lunch. So Dad and I went down to Hurricane Hannah's for a burger.

BC-HurricaneHanna-01-Menu.jpg

BC-HurricaneHanna-02-Food.jpg

After lunch we met back up with the ladies and walked through Epcot to the front to catch the Monorail to Magic Kingdom. Tonight we have Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!!! Woot!!

Upon entering the Magic Kingdom we caught a performance of the WDW Philharmonic playing some classic Christmas songs.

Check out these two videos!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jT_o2EaBUzo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2t1TcHkp1o

So we got to ride the Haunted Mansion and take in the new version of The Hall of Presidents with Obama.

After that we were walking throught Frontierland and came upon the Notorious Banjo Brothers and Bob. They played a couple requests for us and played Happy Birthday for my wife's birthday. Being cajun, my parents and wife could help themselves to dance.

Check out the videos!! You will love them!

So after a little dancing we headed over to Crystal Palace for dinner with Pooh!

here is a video of the stage show.

Then came the Christmas Parade. Fabulous as always.

Then came Holiday Wishes! What a spectacular sight!

Once this show was over it was time to leave Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It was around 11pm and we were tired, especially dad and I since we were up early for the Segway Tour.
