Does anyone remember the old WW plan that was called Fat and Fiber? Anyone remember what the amount was for each? My mom and I are on WWs and she was trying to remember what it was. We used that plan years ago. I lost 65 lbs and she lose 50 lbs on it within 8 months. Great plan and would like to see how it is different from the newer plan now.

I don't recall a plan called "fat & Fiber"...:confused3 However the Points system used in the WW flex plan uses a system where food are assigned a "point value" based upon the calories, fat grams and fiber grams per serving. You are allowed a certain number of points for your daily intake based upon your gender, age, height, current weight, exercises you do....etc.

I find it to be a very easy way to keep track of my daily food....you can check out more about the plans at www.weightwatchers.com

Good luck!

We are on the points system now using the Flex plan. About 15 years ago there was a Fat and Fiber plan. It was really good. You got so many fat gramd and fiber grams a day. You could eat anything you wanted as long as you ate those fat and fiber grams. It really was great. Just wondered if anyon remembered those specific amounts. Right now on WW I get 20 points. I only have maybe 10 lbs more to go and then I'm done. My mom has maybe 30 lbs more to go so she is looking for the old plan to compare.

Well the FLEX point system uses fat and fiber too. I think you will be just as happy with it.

We've been on the the flex plan and honestly preferred the fat and fiber plan. I have lost 25 lbs in 9 weeks on the flex plan as of December. I just lost 10 more lbs in 3 weeks this past month. My mom isn't fairing as well and wanted to try to get the exact amounts of the old fat and fiber plan to compare. I'm an old hand at WW and so is my mom but I think she is getting bored of this plan.

Well it sure sounds like you are doing great! I am sorry, I know nothing of the old plan. Did you look on ebay? They have everything there! I bet someone is selling to old material.

I have the old Fat & Fiber plan. Here are the rules.
Limit total fat grams to between 15 and 35 each day; men and youths can go up to 45. Eat at least 20 grams of fiber per day; men and youths a minimum of 25. Minimum of 2 servings of dairy per day. At least 5 servings of fruit/vegetables per day. Go really easy on refined sugars and alcoholic beverages.

Hope this helps!
Nancy

That actually sounds reasonable and like it would work. I have never heard of it, thanks for posting this. I might have to try it since point is so slow for me. I have 15 leftover baby weight lbs to lose.

Congrats on your weight loss DaisyD.
