***Official Planning Thread -DECEMBER 2024 - Welcome all!***

AHHHH I am so sad to miss the Festival of the Holidays by one day. For some reason, I thought it ended on 12/31! I guess it makes sense to end it on 12/30 to avoid the craziness of NYE. I thought about adjusting our plans but my daughter really wants to spend her 13th birthday (NYE) at Epcot, and we only have a 4 day ticket and want to do all 4 parks.

Wait, why are people saying the first week will be busy? I've been to WDW the week after Thanksgiving the past 2 years and it's never been packed.

Maybe you can swing park hoppers?

I would love to know this too!! We were hoping to keep our LLMP cost low. To buy it for all 4 parks plus all 5 of the individual ride line passes would cost $500! (You can see the pricing on the app through December 6).

We are planning on buying 3 individual ride passes (Guardians, Seven Dwarves & Flight of Passage) and LLMP for only MK & HS.

We are skipping Tron. 2 passes for Tron is $42! For a 60-second ride! We will just wait in the standby line. lol

My youngest has the DAS / disability pass but she won’t ride roller coasters so we need to buy the LLMP to cover the rides she won’t do.

She will ride Rise of the Resistance so that saves us $50 by itself as we can use her DAS.

She will ride everything at Epcot (since Test Track is closed!) and she will do everything at Animal Kingdom except for Expedition Everest (but that has a single rider line for us to use).

So I’m hoping it won’t be so crowded that we will regret not buying LLMP at EP & AK!

Well, from my experience as a solo traveler for the past 2 years, I refused to pay for Genie+ cause it was so horrible. I never purchased anything and got to ride all the rides I wanted. I did utilize Rope Drop, Virtual Queues, and took advantage of low wait times at MVMCP (while still doing what I wanted at the party). It can be done but I imagine it can be more challenging the more people you have in your party. I think you can still get what you want done and if you don't, just means you have to go back, right? 😉

I have seen most professional crowd calendars are saying crowds will be lower the first week in December. That’s been my experience too the past two years. I think it was maybe just confusion over which week people were referring to in this thread.
