*** Official Jollywood Nights 2024 ***

My ticket shows up in the Disney World app, so I am going to have them just scan me in from there to avoid a day ticket potentially being used!

We are doing the exact same thing. Entering the party at 6 pm and going straight to Oga's. Never been there, want to see it.... have fun!

Dee
Neither have I! I’m so excited! When is your party? We’re going 12/11

I’m curious, are people dressing up in 20s outfits again this year? I went last year and people looked amazing…but I’m going solo this year and don’t want to be solo AND the only one dressed up.

I’ll be dressing up, but not in 20’s gear. Definitely a festive holiday vibe!

Thanks, all! I just wore a sparkly green shirt last year but felt underdressed, lol. What type of outfits are people wearing other than 20s style?

If I have just a party ticket will I have enough time to enter the park at 6, and get to Fantasmic for 6:30? Don’t care about where our seats are.

You should be fine. We walked in about 10 min before it started a couple of weeks ago and got seats no problem. They weren't great seats but if you don't mind that then you'll be ok.

It will depend on when you’re going. During busier times the show will fill to capacity sometimes more than 30 mins before the show. Hopefully you will get in but it’s not guaranteed.

Can you order from the regular quick service menus during the party in addition to the speciality food?

You can stop @ GS to have them double check which tix was used & to also “fix it” there when you are in the park.

Speaking from experience, it happened to us twice the rare year we didn’t have

Good to know! :).

DD and I talked DH into dressing up for the 20s this year. Something none of us would probably ordinarily do lol.
Looks more to be 40’s era to me, however; the whole idea of dressing up add a fun element to the event IMO.

We have a cruise after the disney portion of trip, figured we an outfit could do double duty.

I’m torn tho, it does tend to often chill off late night in MCO in December. Considering just wearing our light up “ugly- i think quite cute” nightmare before xmas sweaters, on theme with the one show :)

Partial review from last nights party 11/16

Went last night and focused on characters. Saw Fantasmic at 6:30 - getting out was a mess - they make you take the backstage walkway back to the front of the park - would be so much better to let party guests exit back on Sunset - took 20mins to get out.

Was mainly concerned about long wait times for Mickey and Minnie, Santa Duffy and Santa Stitch.

Decided to hit Mickey and Minnie first didn’t get to the line til about 7:25, they had a delayed opening for some reason, didn’t start letting guests in to meet them til after 7:35pm. Line took forever was quoted 50mins, there wasn’t that many people ahead of us, maybe 20 groups - didn’t think it would actually take that long. Finally met Mickey and Minnie at 8:20pm. Line was infuriating slow moving.

The majority of characters (Powerline Max, Goofy and Co, Jiminy, Clarice) - their lines only take 5-15mins.

We lined up for Santa Duffy during the fireworks, stated 30mins, only waited 16mins.

Never managed to meet Santa Stitch, his line was always 45mins + everytime I saw it. I wish they put his wait time on the app. We did have some time around 11pm, but we wanted to hit the last Muppets show at 12:15am and wanted a relax and to soak up some atmosphere. Plus after waiting in the MickeyMinnie line, it seems the Stitch line runs just as slow - didn’t want to do that to ourselves again. I asked the CM if it was really 45mins and he said yes. Apprently the way MickeyMinnie and Stitch’s line are ran, they just run slower.

Had a really great night, need to go to two nights however to fit everything in!!

Wow! Thanks for the review. Glad you had a great night. Sounds like your focus was mostly on character meets, correct?
Did you notice wait times for food or rides?

Other than the negative reviews from last year, the 2nd issue we had in forefront of our minds was the length of time involved for afterhours character meets in this park.

consistently, every after hours event we attended took far longer than expected (based upon the number of people in line in front of us).

My reasoning was the interactions ran long when F2F and longer break periods for the characters. Could be inexperienced CMs handling how it needs to flow to be accommodate the crowd.

I understand it’s a paid event, people may expect a bit more time with the characters but, hope they pay attention to this, may need to tighten it up a bit.

Not OP but I was there last night as well. Slinky never really went below a posted wait of 30. Sometimes it was higher. I didn't try to ride so I don't know if it was really less. TSM was high earlier in the party but around 10:30 it went down to 15 minutes.

Rise went down at 7pm and didn't come back up until around 10ish. After that it had a posted wait for 50-60 minutes. A little after 11pm it dropped to 25 minutes. They took you right to the stormtroopers. I don't know if something was down or how it normally is during a party.

Everything else was a walk on. Party was not sold out and they were still selling tickets a 7pm when the park closed to day guests.

We managed to do 3 rides, two shows we wanted to see and the fireworks. There were no real lines for food or drinks. It was a great night but Rise being down definitely made wait times worse from other reports of earlier party nights.

And sometimes it's the characters! My friend wanted to meet Belle in her Christmas dress one year so I was like fine come on. Since we waited, I was like fine, let me get a quick pic too. 1-2-3 done. I say thank you and turn to leave.

Then Belle starts up. "I have so many books in my library." Me: ........"Oh.... yeah?" Belle: "Do you have a favorite book?" Me ......... "Um... sure. Yeah. The Catcher in the Rye. Well, see ya-"

She kept going! In my head, I'm like ma'am.. there are children waiting in this line. 😂 This is why it took 20 minutes when it could've taken 5.
