***Official January 2025 Thread***

Just a heads up...

If your vacation starts the last week of December or the first week of January, your window for selecting LLSP, LLMP, or LLPP is quickly approaching!

Disney Resort Guests may purchase passes up to 7 days in advance of their stay. All other guests may purchase passes up to 3 days in advance of their park visit.

For everyone later in the month, pass pricing will be viewable on the app starting 21 days before your vacation. Please play around with the app prior to your window opening, so that you are comfortable with some of the process before purchasing. You will not be able to get through all the screens at that time, but it will start getting you familiar with the functionality.

Does LLMP purchasing open at 6am like everything else? Or midnight?
I believe it is 7am EST for new bookings.

You might see people talking about being online earlier, but it is usually for people who have already booked. Sometimes, Disney will have early morning drops of extra time slots for rides (and drops throughout the day as well).

If anyone is interested in reading along with other people's LL experiences, here is the thread:

Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Anyone heard anything about San Angel restaurant during Gran Fiestas Tours closure? We have a reservation there and wondering what it’ll be like. I’m not big on the food there, we go for the ambiance so if there’s going to be construction or “river” draining or something going on I would cancel. I guess if no one knows I’ll just check out the Mexico pavilion prior to my day to eat there and cancel if it looks bad. We were going to pop into Epcot to fo a few rides, eat at San Angel and ride Gran Fiesta and then head to our Epcot FW cruise 😢

I'm wondering the same, we have a reservation there too.

I haven't heard anything yet. Hopefully, we'll get some reports rolling in shortly before or after it's closure.

Would anyone mind sharing the full crowd predictions for MLK weekend? I know they are not 100% accurate, just curious!
I don't have a subscription, but when those dates were available to the public, it seems anticipated crowd levels were 5 on Friday, 7 on Saturday, 7 on Sunday, and 6 on Monday. MLK day was specifically 4 for Magic Kingdom, 7 for Epcot, 8 for Hollywood Studios, and 7 for Animal Kingdom.

Looked at our MagicBand+ options again for the "pre-arrival discount" and am so disappointed; all the cute designs are around $45. No solid colors offered! Not sure what to do. I have bands from 2022 but from my understanding, while they'll still work fine for our tickets + room key + in park purchases, they will not work for on-ride photos. Ugh...

If you set up magic mobile on your phone and have it with you on the ride, and have Bluetooth on, the ride photos will work. You can also tap your old MB at the picture area after the ride when you see your pic. Or look on shopdisney, they frequently have clearance MB+. I recently got a super cute Dumbo one for like $20

Anyone have general information surrounding marathon weekend, particularly as a non-participant in the races? 4 adults. Will be a relaxing weekend so we aren't too concerned about traffic or getting somewhere by a certain time. Our only ADRs are at our resort (AKL) either first thing in the AM or at the end of the night.

We are arriving at WDW at 1pm on Friday January 10th and leaving WDW at 2pm on Sunday January 12th. Currently, the plan is to visit EPCOT and MK in the afternoon / evening respectively on Friday, EPCOT and HS in the mid-morning / evening respectively on Saturday, and AK in the mid-morning / afternoon on Sunday. Half of the group has never been, and they are just excited to see a bit of everything.

We typically like to drive our rental car to the parks. Any advice about whether taking the bus would be better? I tried looking at maps for road closures but it's hard to know what roads I usually take, as I just follow the signs on property. Any help or guidance would be much appreciated!

I think as long as you’re out and about after noon you should be ok, but if roads are still affected then taking Disney transportation is best because they know which roads to avoid. Ask a CM when you’re there and they should be able to let you know for certain but I’m pretty sure roads are a mess mostly in the morning until about after noon
