Hellooooooo Happy Dis'ers!!!!

I have anxiously been waiting for someone to start an August 2014 thread, but haven't seen one yet!

Yes, I realize that it's still about 14 months away. But, when it comes to Disney you can never plan to early!!!

So, who is planning with me?

We are hoping to be at WDW from 8/17/14 - 8/27/14 in what will be my 11th trip, my DH's 10th trip and our girls 5th trip! We hope to book CR Atrium CL with a military discount!!!

Hopefully, all of you August planners will keep me company in waiting....waiting for 2014 rates, waiting for 2014 discounts, waiting for the actual trip!!!

And for those of you with experience with August, chime in with your expertise! We have done July and survived that. We are hoping that August is just with less crowds!

So, join me, as we count down to our trips in August 2014!!!!

I'm with you mousemommy! Our plan is to visit Universal for 3 days (August 10-13) first--DD10 is a HUGE HP fan and next year for her 11th birthday, she wanted to go to the WWoHP. Then we are heading "home" August 13-20th and probably staying at POR...so excited! I'm in full-on planning mode...even though we're 411 days out! Lol! What can I say...I'm a crazy Disney lady

I am planning my first Disney World vacation as an adult . The last time I was in Disney I was 14 and I think I am even more excited about this trip than my kids, who have been asking for years. We are going August 13 - 23, 2014; just before they are back in school.

We were planning for two rooms at POP, but since I am not 100% sure my oldest DS and DD are coming - they may have college commitments, I am planning on POR. If it turns out they can come, I will switch back to two rooms at POP or we will try to swing two rooms at POFQ.

Sounds like a great trip!!!! DH and I have not been to Universal since 2000!

I'm sure it's alot different now than it was then! We are waiting until the kids are a little bigger so they can enjoy the bigger rides that Universal has to offer.

Oh, and 400+ days... Although deep down I know this, it's still UGH!!

Although, I am going back in 95 days for a girls only trip with my best friend!!!

Oh, we'll have some overlap!!! Congrats on finally being able to get back to Disney!!! I know how that is....I went as a child when I was 7 and 12, but as soon as I was old enough to do it myself I did, and I went when I was 21 with my BF (now DH)...we actually went twice that year, I had missed it so much, and then our honeymoon was there in 2002. Then we took a 7 year hiatus to start a family and once we took our girls for their 1st trip at ages 3 and 5, we have NOT STOPPED!!! LOL.

Wow! You are brave taking two little ones alone!

Luckily, my DH loves Disney too, so he has no issues with going...his only requirements are that he gets club level and golf while there.

Maybe some discounts will come out that will make WL a reality for you....we spent 11 days there last summer and it was AH-MAZING!!!!!

But, I love POP too. I am actually staying there for my girls trip in Sept and very much looking forward to it. I haven't stayed there since 2009!

I've taken DD5 alone so it was an easy trip. I wanted to take them alone this year, but DD2 is, how can I put this, a feisty little thing.

I waited until oldest DD was 3 1/2 before putting her in a daycare environment...I couldn't wait that long with the baby! She starts in Sept at 2 1/2. I'm hoping she will get somewhat tamed in the next year or I may truly consider shortening the trip and simply taking the oldest alone. Love her to pieces but boy does she keep me on my toes!

I will have to google it, but is a bloggie like a flip cam? I had taken a small video camera when I went by myself with oldest DD but as I'm seeing now, when I go out with both of them (being my youngest is a HANDFUL) I can't really see myself feeling comfortable with anything bulky in my hands. Need them free and clear to chase after her!

I could use my phone (Galaxy S3) but I get nervous thinking I will be in the middle of recording something and I then have to grab DD2 and somehow end up having it fall. Finding something compact might be better for me. Who knows? She may be tamed by then.

It's a little bit smaller than your S3 and the thickness is about the size of a Iphone 4s. It take super HD 1080 Video's. I purchased a Sony Duo Bloggie and a Sony Sport Bloggie and chose the Duo over the Sport.

The response time when you turn it on is less than 2 seconds and it is ready to shoot.

I'm in for August 2014! We are going on a 4 night Bahama cruise on the Dream 8/24-8/28, and hoping to spend the week before at WBC. DH, DD, and I are going in September this year and considering getting APs. Then all we'd have to pay for next August is our DS's park tickets, a car rental, and the resort. I have a quote for a 2BR deluxe at WBC for $1000 for 7 nights. Don't think you can beat that!

I'm almost more excited for our 2014 trip than I am for this year's!

We became AP holders last year and we have LOVED it!!!

We got a total of 29 days in Disney with them in less than a year, which I think is pretty good since we live in NH!

I am actually renewing mine shortly, since I am going in September this year as well, but the rest of my family won't go back until August 2014.
