Anyone do the dessert party? How was it?
It seems that way but you won't be able to check out. You will be denied after submitting payment information and clicking a buy now. They pull from the same pool of tickets that Disney sells.Interestingly, it seems like the ticket reseller I use still has tickets for 15 September despite it being sold out on the WDW website. I'm guessing they probably have some allocation of tickets to resell or similar and still have tickets left...
Watched the video above - is the castle the only place with projections during the fireworks or are there some in other places?
First check the online ticket vendors. We had a report of someone who snagged a ticket after Disney had it sold out that way but they go fast.So I messed up and it turns out neither my husband or myself purchased tickets to the party for the weekend we will be flying down to Disney in September.... since the point of our trip was to attend the party for the 1st time we are just going to cancel. But I wanted to ask here first, does Disney sell some day of tickets to the party or is it worth calling guest services?
I know, how did I not buy them in advance with a hotel reservation? I thought my husband go them, he thought I did. A classic miscommunication... Any feedback/help would be great, as I don't mind cancelling since we have refundable options but I was really looking forward to going. Thank you!

Hi. I did the dessert party. May have been a bit overpriced for what it was but we did enjoy it. Good selection of desserts and drinks. Kids were able to add decorations to their cookies. Was well organized. Didn't wait long to sit down and they found a good table for us which worked well.Anyone do the dessert party? How was it?
We did the dessert party on opening night (8-11-23). It was the same excellent quality as last year. We were told our reservation time was 9:15 but we needed a break around 8:30 and they had no problem seating us early. Sat us right on the wall, prime view of castle. I didn't take any photos but the food choices were similar to last year. Fruit, cheeses, so many sweets, they had an open bar (we don't drink so didn't try that), a cookie decorating station and milk and juices. I've been on the semiglutide so my sense of sweet is ruined currently so I only nibbled on a few things. But I would still do this just for a break to be able to sit down and drink some cold beverages for a bit. I'm probably in the minority on this but the Halloween foods they offer in the parks do not appeal to me at all (what is with the spicy everything?) so I love the dessert party and being able to find things that do appeal to me.Anyone do the dessert party? Clarabelle is dressed up as one of the Sanderson Sisters this year, and she IS in the Boo to You parade!Hi all - I have heard a couple different things so I am confused. My daughter LOVES Clarabelle the Cow - what parade is she on? Boo To You or is there another parade I am not aware of? Seeing Clarabelle is a huge priority for us and I don't want my kiddo to miss her. Thanks!
Thanks for this, we have the plaza viewing for this Friday and were trying to figure out what time to show up. Anybody know the run time for the parade? Considering watching the 9:15 parade then going to the desert party.Hi. I did the dessert party. May have been a bit overpriced for what it was but we did enjoy it. The dessert party started at 8:45pm. Fireworks show was at 10:15pm. We felt an obligation to be there at 8:45pm but it really was not necessary. If you get there at 8:45 and then go to fireworks it eats about 2 hours into the event which is just a bit too much for me. Also, they tell you to go they can escort you over to the fireworks whenever you want to go (I did the dessert party which had seating in the grass area in front of the Plaza). They recommend 9:45pm. So, we stayed at dessert party for an hour and then headed over to fireworks. There was ample space at the fireworks to find a location to watch.
Having said all that, I would approach it all logistically different if I were to go again. I would either go at 8:45 and probably cut out at 9:15 to do other stuff and return around 9:45/10:00 to go over to fireworks. Alternatively, I might just show up for the dessert party around 9:15/9:30 and then head over to fireworks once we are done. Dessert party is probably less crowded then too.
I would also add that I got Tron Virtual Queue (Boarding Group 173) which was called at 8:44pm - just as I was getting to the dessert party. I should have gone to Tron first and then the dessert party. Instead, I went to Tron after fireworks. Even though my Boarding Group was no longer being called, they had told me I could return any time after my group was called up until the end of the event (I checked with them beforehand). Therefore, you do have more flexibility if your Boarding Group conflicts with another event. But, again, I really should have gone to Tron first and then to the dessert party.
One last comment because I saw others ask. My line for Tron via VQ was very short. I think we were on in 10 minutes. It may have been because I went over right after fireworks (which may have created a lull on most rides). So, perhaps, my plan worked better than I thought but, at least for me, it was an impressively rapid line.
Hope this all helps.

To see Clarabelle well you will need to be on the side of the road where the parade approaches from your left and passes to your right. Thanks for this, we have the plaza viewing for this Friday and were trying to figure out what time to show up. Are many of the sweets featured throughout the park or are they exclusive to the party? We did the dessert party on opening night (8-11-23). It was the same excellent quality as last year. I would say if that prime view is important to you, show up earlier. I don't really care about the view because I'm in it for the break and being able to find some foods that aren't spicy. I was very pleased with the party this year.
Oh! This reminded me I need to send a cast compliment on the app about something nice they did while I was seated. I was wearing my "Galactic Superhero" sticker from beating Zurg (drives my husband crazy he can't outscore me) and they noticed. I was congratulated by several cast members and one brought me over a special congratulations plate with cupcakes and a chocolate congratulations banner. My son was thrilled to eat that for me! The cast members at the party are very festive and cheerful people.
I believe it’s just the castle.Watched the video above - is the castle the only place with projections during the fireworks or are there some in other places?
