Bleh. I worked at a bakery in college and we had issues with some person who kept coming in and doing that; smearing things all over the bathroom. It’s some kind of disorder.

Gotcha. I don't think it is a scare tactic so much as I am guessing the in-house closing company holds disbursement long enough to make sure the points load.

They do not, as I already have my money from a contract that closed 6 weeks ago.

I worked in a dorm during college and we had a resident who would do this. We nicknamed him “The Mad Crapper”. Everyone knew exactly who it was but couldn’t prove it… was very glad when that kid transferred out of the dorm.

Just to close out the conversation from the last couple days, I was to thank everyone here for the discourse about brokers, contracts, and title companies. I really love that DisBoards exists as a resource and a place for community! It's back to the drawing board for me , so I'm sure you'll see me posting on the rejected offers thread soon

I only skimmed the article quickly (cuz it’s gross) but a quick review did not suggest anyone saw the pooping, only that they saw it all over the bottom of the wall and floor. To me that indicates it might have been an emotional support/service animal. I’ve seen more of them over the last couple years at WDW. I haven’t seen any on the ride queue for cosmic rewind but I did see people carrying a small dog through a queue for Soarin’.

I would think if someone has a service animal then they should also have the potty bags with them at all times….

My wife said she thinks it must have been a bad piece of seafood from one of the booths…

IMO it was definitely a person. I saw a video of the aftermath, and there were clearly sideways hand prints/wipes pretty high up where an animal would only have been able to get vertical swipes/wipes/stripes that high up.

Random thought…I see a lot of folks with many home resorts. Which is awesome. But I wonder how many DVC visits they usually take per year, or are they always split staying?

Thinking of my own experience, where we don’t want to split stay, I think the right maximum number of resorts for us is either n or n + 1, where n is our number of DVC-based trips per year. You certainly can make n + 2 work with banking and borrowing, but it becomes messier potentially, and riskier (aka you may be more likely to lose points).

How do others think of this as a model for owning at multiple locations?

We went 5 times on our last annual pass. Though we usually did split stays to try different resorts. We managed to try most of the ones we wanted (VGF, Poly, BLT, BCV, BWV, and BRV) in that time. We don't have any kinds yet, so we don't mind changing rooms once. It also gives us a fresh room without waiting for day 4/8/etc. Also sometimes it gives more advantages like an extra free water park day for 2025.

We will probably only do 3, maybe 4 this next year. Getting a bigger room in October to bring a bunch of family. 2br for now, may combine some points/upgrade to a grand villa when 7 month window hits soon.

I can see it being difficult if you have too many resorts, but mostly if you only have a small amount of points. We have a decent amount at all of our resorts except VGC. I feel 150ish points or more at a single resort is enough to make it fully usable by itself at WDW.

I do think you want a good chunk at each location for usability purposes, unless you are doing very short stays only in studios…
