New McKim's Mile House and ImaginAtrium Member Lounge >> NOW OPEN! 3/18/25 <<

Even without restrooms inside, at least the nearest restrooms are just a few dozen feet away. Compared to the Epcot lounge, where they're downstairs, and then a few hundred yards away!

Can you leave to use the restroom and get back in, or is it a "once you leave, you're out and need to rejoin the queue"?

I have a question about bringing guests, if two people are on the deed, can you bring 8 guests or is it 4 per membership?

It has always been each owner is allowed to bring guests with them.

The larger the group, though, the longer the potential wait, if there is one. Lol

Len Testa from touring plans joined the waitlist at 1:30 and didn't get in till 5:30...lol Looks like MMB was needed yesterday.
I would not expect much else for several days, being new, and considering how many vloggers there are. I usually avoid anything NEW at Disney on my first trip after it opens.

Everything I've seen says that once you leave you have to rejoin the queue.

Me too. I prefer not to have to jostle/be jostled by people with hand-held gyroscope stabilizer mounts.

Ugh, this puts me off massively. I avoid drinking liquids when on a theme park day in the UK due to needing to go for a pee frequently. In Orlando I don't have a choice but keep hydrated due to the heat, so I'd be in and out of there frequently. Sad face.

im guessing that the majority of people are in and out in 30 minutes or less so a bathroom wasnt needed or on purpose to keep people from being there too long..

Thanks Paul and Amy! As always great content and insights.

We're planning our next WDW trip in 2026 (2025 was DL). A year from now hopefully they have the kinks worked out at McKim's. We usually stay at Bay Lake. I think we'll only use McKim's if we can get in within 20-30 minutes or so. If not, it will quicker and easier to walk back to Bay Lake for a rest and charge of devises.

Overall, still glad to see DVD adding more amenities. That was one of the complaints a few years ago about perks always being taken away.

Here is Len's review...hopefully the newness hype will die off quickly and its easier for all to get in.

It's plain and dark to the point of being unwelcoming. The photos below seem brighter to me than the inside felt.

There is a handful of photos on the walls, one painting, and a couple of knickknacks. I'm pretty sure the second floor is a reduced-scale prop and can't be used for anything.

It's a brown box with a soda fountain and snacks. It's not at all an interesting space that you'd want to spend time in.

These lounges seem to be missing something... I like the idea of the character meet and greet at Epcot, but I find the hopps character is a character I've met many times at DCA so I wouldn't go for that.

A rare character would probably really excite people and maybe a rarer treat other than bags of chips, maybe something Disney makes, I feel like a Mickey Sugar Cookie just for DVC would be really nice or a discounted food bar. Imagine the Aristocats pop by, I would lose my mind 🤣🤣

Even if they had rarer DVC merch to purchase at a more reasonable rate for members I would love that.

Of course a full bar and paid menu would be fabulous. I know they want to keep crowds down but maybe come up with a one time a day reserve your spot and return system. Id rather go less and it be a better experience. Maybe some surprises throughout the week, you never know who might stop by or lightning lane otu raffles, shoot there's so many different things that can be done to engage members more.

I know i may be asking too much, but I'm really questioning again whether direct is worth it and if I should just go and rent points when I want to stay at RIV or LSL, but then moonlight madness has me feeling all sorts of ways 🤣🤣

This. It's supposed to be a place to stop off briefly to take a break on a busy day, not someplace to camp out in like an in-park extension of, or alternate to, your hotel room. Either use the restroom before you go in or wait until you leave. If you're in there long enough to need several restroom breaks, then you're probably at a point where you're on the verge of qualifying for residency.

(And before the inevitable comment is made, yes I understand and respect that there are guests with medical conditions that may require more frequent trips to a restroom, but in all the time we've been going to the lounges, either in Epcot or in Disneyland, we've never spent more than 30 minutes tops inside, and that includes the frequent trips to the DL lounge armed with our lunch from Pizza Planet or Galactic Grill. A 20-30 minute visit seems not to be insurmountable for the vast majority of visitors.)

If the rest of your traveling party is still inside, I doubt leaving to use the restroom and returning will be a major issue. Just let the check-in person know on you're way to the restrooms.
