That is great infoThis morning I spent some time on the phone with Allianz representatives and supervisors regarding the required documentation for travel expense payments - and specifically addressed gift cards in general. I now have specific confirmation of the steps that are needed IF ANY of the trip costs are paid by ANY gift card - Visa, MC, AMEX, or Disney Gift Card. They require a copy of the original receipt of purchase for the gift card, along with a copy of the gift card used. In addition, they require a copy of the source of payment for the gift card to verify the actual cost of the gift card (if a discount was used)...ie credit card statement. Even went as far as to give me information applicable to gift cards received as gifts. That was interesting. I kept a file for the call and the names etc of the individuals I spoke with. The website info for claim documents is fairly generic, but both individuals were able to give me specific examples of accepted proof of payment - particularly related to items they consider to be “cash”. In my opinion it's worth the call. YMMV

I normally always have the gift cards so I guess I just need to start printing off the receipt and attaching it to the gift card
Now I’m not sure how it works when you bundle more than one Disney gift card and go to Disney’s gift card website and put it on just one card…. but I’m sure everything can always be tied back to the original
I believe too Allianz is cheaper than the Dcl insurance…. I need to call my credit card too though because I might just be able to go with them.
Thanks!!
