Got an email today with some new AMEX offers, thought this one might be useful to purchase some DGCs... This was on my Marriott Bonvoy AMEX.



Would be good if you could combine it with another DGC discount, such as BJ's (I don't think Sam's Club takes Apple Pay?), but you'd probably have to buy a $75 DGC which then reduces the overall discount.

For example, if you bought a $25 and $50 DGC at BJ's to hit the $50 threshold, your overall discount would be around 9% off. ($72.98 before discount - $5 or $67.98 for $75 worth of DGCs which is only about 9.36% off.

BJ’s has a variable load card but I’ve been too chicken to try it. Any chance they offer it at a discounted rate? So set it it for $51.55 in value with a 3% discount gets it right above the $50 for the offer if they do get a discount.

Ok you could still go with BJ’s and get very very slightly over the 10% with the $25 ($24.49) card and a variable card ($25.51)

You can put cents on the cards as I do it all the time to make them even after coming back from a trip.

Some Bonvoy cards get extra for groceries.
Even if yours doesn’t it still might be better to do it at grocery store if you can grab some gas points as well.

Looks like Amtrak got added, but I don't think we need a list of every travel deal possible. The list on the 2nd Post is merely a suggestion at the types of travel deals we have listed. Anytime a travel deal comes up though, the contributors can decide if it makes sense to add it to the second post. I don't think we need to police it or anything - if one of the contributors thinks it should be added, then they can definitely add it.

IF Disney Annual Passholders were given let's say 20%-25% Off at the Disney_Store (online), can that be combined with Disney Visa 10% Off?

Last time it was offered:

• 5/05/24 - 5/24/24 ~ 20% Off
• 10/27/23 - 10/29/23 ~ 25% Off

Am I remembering wrong, wasn't there a 30% discount? The 20-25 seem so ho hum like a standard discount.

I think the 30% was only in person during the VIPassholder Days back in 2023 - from 5/31/23 - 6/30/23, food discounts were increased from 10% to 20% and merch was from 20% to 30%.

I don't believe you can combine the Disney Visa 10% off and the Passholder 20% off discount on DisneyStore (online). I know you cannot combine the Passholder discount with the D23 10% off discount.
