Need a good woman's t-shirt that will not shrink!

Ugh, what is it with t-shirts. I hate that they shrink from top-to-bottom. Does that make sense? I hate they end up half way up my stomach. I bought Hilfiger t-shirts and, yep shrunk. I actually both them back for a refund since I paid so much for them. J Crew tshirts cost so much, but I do find they do not shrink too badly. Target Ultimate tshirts shrink. I just bought one from Land's End and it really shrunk.

What are your best bets? Thanks.

Try Eddie Bauer. I got some shirts during the summer from there and they are a nice longer lenghth and they do not really shrink. If I dry the the whole way in the dryer they did draw up slightly, but not to the point of not being able to wear them like some other brands do. I prefer to hang dry all of my shirts for the very reason that I can't stand when a shirt becomes to short because it shrinks so much in the dryer and I feel like I am tugging it down all day long.

I have had great luck w/Lands End t-shirts. If yours shrunk send it back - they offer a gurantee for life on anything for any reason.

I am 6ft tall so length is a huge issue for me.

I got some at JC Penney (St John's Bay) over the summer dirt cheap with a coupon and they haven't shrunk! At first I was drying them on a rack but they are OK in the dryer! They are very basic looking crew neck and v-neck shirts. I was hoping to go back this week and see if they have long sleeved.

LL Bean T-shirts do not shrink and they are SO soft and come in a lot of pretty colors (I have like 5 or 6 of them!!). They are only $10-12 depending on the size you need. Gap favorite T's do not shrink and hold their color very well. Hope this helps.

Me too. Sometimes I'll dry them in the dryer on a low setting, and take them out to air dry until they are completely dry. I also wash them on a cold setting. I buy a variety of brands and this system works for me.

I buy the Tall length t-shirts from Old Navy. (sold online only) It is the only I have found, and they work great. Oh, and I am not tall...LOL!

I think you should read the lables. If it is 100% cotton it very well could shrink. If is says pre-shrunk, it may have minor shrinkage but it should be very little.

My favorite T-shirts are from Ann Taylor Loft. I wait for the sales/clearances. They are a nice heavy cotton and a good length. I run them through the dryer with eveything else and they don't shrink. And I find their sizes to be more spot-on than many places, where a size XL is tiny on my average figure.

I will agree with those not drying the t-shirts. I never dry them because I hate when they are too short, I have a very long body and this can be a real problem. I actually have or have tried all the shirts mentioned and find pretty much all shirts shrink a little if you dry them. Unfortunately a little bit is enough to show tummy, no one needs to see that.

I'm 5 feet tall so I had no idea this was a problem...but obviously it's common. Somewhere out there should be an abundance of shirts that are just my size

do you tuck them in ? they sell t-shirts for bicycle riders that are made longer... and i agree read the labels as some items will shrink ALOT !
