I had my son in a parochial school in FL. They didn't take the FCAT, but did another series of standardized testing. Now that we're in another state, math is becoming a bit more of a challenge. GOOD...in my book! In FL he found math easy and always came home with A's and B's. Now he has Saxon math which is quite a bit more involved than what he had down there. So far, so good...he's maintaining a B. But even with his homework, I find I'm looking up in the chapter how to do something because I don't remember learning it!Originally posted by piglet too
My son is so bored in class, everything is easy for him. However due to his standardized tests, he does not qualify for the "advanced" classes.
