Moonlight Magic Chances 9/1?

Since we just became direct members we are looking at doing a 2 day (1 night) trip down for the 9/1 Moonlight Magic. You cant register til May and I am wondering how likely we are to be able to get tickets? Flights are cheap now (but also non refundable) and I can grab a 1 night stay at BLT for cheap, but im hesitant to book everything if its going to be a real gamble if we get tickets or now. What is your experience and recommendation?

Flights are not likely to get more expensive, and everything else should be refundable into May. Could be worth a shot!

I wouldn’t plan a trip just to attend MM, it’s a nice perk if you can get in but it’s not what I would consider a life changing experience.

To answer the question there are always people that don’t get in, you get lucky or you don’t, it all depends on on the queue number you get.

Normally i would agree, but we have a small amount of points left for the next use year and this would eat that up, combined with very inexpensive airfare its worth it to us since we can get in for free.

All of them can be difficult to get and it’s luck of the draw.

I’d plan to go regardless and just hope for the best!!

I agree with Sandi - especially since it would use up points that might otherwise expire, and airfare isn’t bad, so to me the trip would be worth if even if you don’t get in.

9/1 is at Disney's Hollywood Studios - which is the smallest park.

In the first session Hollywood Studios filled up before Animal Kingdom then California Adventure.

I agree with @Brian Noble . Make refundable bookings and wait on airfare until you have a confirmation or not.

If you have a reservation you can try on May 15, 2025 and May 22, 2025.
