You would have had to have heard it. Castmember was very short with me, said they don't compensate if the parades happen. I said that the castmember we spoke with told us it wasn't happening, which is why we left the area. The problem wasn't whether or not they happened, the problem was that castmembers were giving out information that was completely false. He actually said he didn't care what the castmember told us. Exactly that. If I did that at my job, I wouldn't have a job anymore.

I probably would have waited longer, but, my 6 year old was soaked through and the line was outside. It wasn't worth her getting sick to probably get exactly the same answer I got on the phone. But, thanks for putting "too long" in quotes like that to trivialize my experience. May you experience the same magical castmember should you ever have a problem and then have someone snark at you about it online.. lol
I'm sorry you had a bad experience with guest services! We had the exact opposite, the cast member we spoke with at disney springs monday following the
9/1 party was very sweet and more than happy to make sure we didn't leave with a poor impression of Disney. Since we would already be home when the next party happened, we were offered a 1 day park hopper. It just so happened my husband's birthday was 9/5 so we got to spend his birthday hopping around the world. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, wished him a happy birthday, he got his picture on the screen on star tours, and got a free brownie in AK. Disney went above and beyond and we left feeling much better about our poor party experience.

As for the line at guest services on 9/1 after the party, I completely agree. I was NOT waiting in that. It was already almost 2 hours later than we planned on leaving and we still had almost a 2 hr ride back to our resort in St. Pete Beach (which we got in around 4 AM). Our feet were soaked and I simply was not interested in waiting in a line that stretched out the door to MAYBE get my money back. So, for anyone who wasn't there to say that you should have waited is just unfair.

ALSOOOO, if anyone else was disappointed that the poison apple cup is not available at the party, it IS available in DS at the Candy Cauldron!!! I was SO excited!!!

I've not tried personally but everything I've ever seen says you cannot use the value of multiple tickets toward an upgrade.
OK, thanks. We will likely upgrade each to 2 day tix when we need them. We don't visit the parks much so now that I think about it, 2-day hoppers will probably be better for our trips in the next two years.

AWESOME job! Just a few concerns but I think you got it! I've added your itinerary to the Main Post.

Welcome back buddy!!! This is great news!!! Dates?!
party::dancer:party:
Party night tues sept 19!
Hoping it won't be unexpectedly way more crowded with everyone else rescheduling too. Hoping to keep basically my same plan. We lost our dinner res so that actually frees up a little party time and gives my itinerary a breather. Or lets us add Moana depending on what the kids decide.

It was like cancelling Christmas, I tell you what. And the first batch of reschedule dates were all in winter or spring and I kept saying, "But... I'm supposed to go to a Halloween party! Can you please keep looking for a Halloween party?!"

SWEET!!! Your original itinerary is still posted in September if you're still interested in utilizing it. Glad you're back and very happy they were able to accommodate you!

My apologies, I'm not sure the name of the area for the Hallowishes Dessert Party- Plaza viewing. I was hoping that we might be able to remain there post fireworks to see Hocus Pocus and BTY Parade. I don't know if this is allowed or if they will require us to leave after Hallowishes. Though it certainly seems possible to move from the Hallowishes Dessert Plaza viewing area to the one you've circled in red.

Plaza Viewing
"Plaza viewing. I was hoping that we might be able to remain there post fireworks to see Hocus Pocus and BTY Parade. I don't know if this is allowed or if they will require us to leave after Hallowishes."

I thought that's what you meant but had to be certain. The Plaza Garden is perfect to view fireworks ONLY. So yes, you will need to move in the circled location to see the parade and maybe closer to view Hocus Pocus.

Your plans are really well thought out. I'm just concerned about the timing for the Dwarfs, I'm not 100% sure it's enough time. So far we have a few posted wait times for the characters, now that Moana is in play it's very possible your plan could work flawlessly but there's still that uncertainty. You'll know when to tweak your timing as the evening unfolds, just keep your eye on the crowds.
I suggest getting in line for Jack & Sally by 11:30, 11:40.

Here now. Here are my experiences with characters so far:
- in line for Moana at 420, she came out at 545, done by 555
- in line for Cruella at 630, she came out at 7, done by 715.
- in line for Belle and Gaston at 735, they went on break and came back out at 8, done by 815
- in line for Lotso at 950, done at 1005
- in line for Goofy at 1015, done at 1025
- currently in line for the dwarves, got in line at 1030, just finished at 1056.

Hope this helps any future party goers!

It is interesting that you got in line last for the dwarves and it moved so fast. I didn't want to stand in line wasting 2 hours at the beginning. I think I shall also wait until the end to see them.

This is my halloween dress and my son will be wearing lederhosen, Can we were this in Epcot also on a regular day?

no. That never even occurred to me. We used 4 on that trip for a great park hopping day to all four parks (teens who mostly just like the "bigger" rides). We still have 5 left. I am thinking of asking to upgrade to annual passes since dvc is having a good deal but even with the discount, those AP prices are hard to swallow. Using the hopper passes will help reduce the pain. We are going to try to get another set of park hoppers for the party on the 12th since we can't get down there until after the party starts due to the hurricane/travel. Does anyone know if I can combine 2 one day hoppers to upgrade to APs? That would come close to paying the AP cost.

Just as an FYI, my BFF bought two 5 day military hoppers last year and was able to use the value of those to upgrade to an AP. This may just be luck of the cast member, but it never hurts to stop in at guest services and ask. (For what it's worth I had heard that you couldn't do this with military salute tickets or with multiple tickets, but she was able to do so successfully last November.)

You GUYS!!!! my travel agent worked some kind of Disney miracle and got our trip rescheduled! I GET TO GO TO THE PARTY!!!

Woo hoo! So excited for you! pixiedust:

I'm particularly worried about the two bolded items. The ducks and Minnie are 2 separate lines this year, based on what I've read from the early parties. You'll likely be done with the first line by 7:10 if you line up around 6:30, but I expect you'll have a minimum 30 minute wait for the second line.

I also think you'll encounter a longer wait for Belle & Gaston. Especially since you won't be arriving until closer to 8 after seeing both the ducks and Minnie.
