We are heading down to Disney for Christmas and are getting tickets for Mickey’s Christmas party and noticed that you can eat at CRT around the same time. If I was to book reservations there will we miss the parade. We have never done this before and I’m confused.

If you choose to make your reservation during the parade, yes, you will miss the parade.

If seeing the parade is that important to you, don't make a reservation for CRT during that time.

Not sure what's confusing.

Personally I’d eat before the party. You’re paying a lot of money to be at the party, you don’t want to eat up an hour or mores worth of time sitting down to eat.
Thank you for not being snarky! We have never been to Disney at Christmas before so we don’t want to miss the parade and such but on the Disney website it shows you can eat at CRT, BOG, and one other during this time and it just seems like there is a lot of activity during this party. And then there’s Minnie dessert party or something going on too right before or during I’m not sure. So thank you! I’m just trying to figure out if it’s worth it!

OP are you actually "confused"???

Sounds more like you are indecisive about what you should do during the party.
If that's the case you just need to look it all over and decide for yourself.

PERSONALLY I would not waste party time eating at a table service restaurant during the party.

Your party ticket allows you to enter at 4pm so either eat before the party starts at CRT if that's what you want or eat outside of the park before the party or eat at quick service during the party if you rather eat later.

Don't eat during the parade if you want to watch it.

Do the dessert party if you want to...

For ME the party is more about overall atmosphere, the cookies/hot cocoa, the music, the snow, and the rides.

No actually I was confused but thank you!

In that case you really should explain what is confusing because you are confusing haha.
Sorry it’s been many years since we have gone to Disney and have never been during the Christmas time. So on the website like where you would go to look up Minnie’s dessert party it mention something about having a certain section that you go to to watch the parade. And then it mentions CRT and then going out to watch the parade and I think that’s where I’m getting confused because I’m guessing there’s not a certain designated section if you dine at CRT to watch the parade? Because I was thinking if there is a designated section then it would be worth it but if there’s not then we could skip that as well. Because it does state on the site that in order to do Minnie’s party you also have to have a tickets for Mickey’s Christmas party.

I'm still confused...
The dessert party takes place at Tomorrowland Terrace.
There is an option for sitting at Tomorrowland Terrace to watch the fireworks or there is an option for standing in the Plaza Garden viewing area. I believe the standing option is cheaper.
Nothing is said about CRT so I still don't know where you're getting that from?

🤦‍♀️ so none of those have anything to do with mickeys party? Lol

Disney is happy to sell you tickets to spendy meals and upcharge events while you are already paying a lot to be there for the Party..doesnt mean you should. It is just time away from the party! Do go look at the list of happenings at the party! There is music and shows AND the parade ..which is worth seeing at both times its running to me, and characters, etc.! I barely got in all I wanted to see and I ate before the party. If you are not interested in the party events Id use the time to ride rides with lower wait times...although if not interested in anything except the parade that is a pretty expensive parade!

Thank you very much! Sorry about all the confusion!!

The dessert party and fireworks viewing DOES have to do with the Christmas party....

What I'm still confused about is where you're getting CRT from when talking about the dessert party?
You do know CRT stands for Cinderella's Royal Table which is the restaurant in the castle right?
Like I said you can choose to eat there if you want. Personally I would not waste the party time though.

There’s nothing different going on in the restaurants that doesn’t happen any other day, nothing special because it’s during the party. They have the places open because some people do want to eat a full meal during the party. Since this is your first Christmas party, it’s probably a better idea to skip the table service dining & experience all the unique things you can only do during the party.

When you pull up Mickey’s party page and scroll down the page there is a section of three options under bookable dining, it lists the Terrace, Plaza, and then table service dining at mickeys very merry Christmas party. That’s why I thought it had something to do with the party. But maybe those are the only table services that will open during that time.

Yes thank you! The Disney website displays it as something extra along with the party. like the dessert parties, you have to pay for the dessert party PLUS mickeys party. So since I haven’t been in YEARS it makes it seem like CRT will be something extra along with mickeys party. We have done CRT in the past but I was thinking that they were doing something different for guests specifically there for mickeys party.
