Merida has arrived at Disneyland

Met her today and she is awesome!

Get there directly after park opening or your looking at a 2 hour wait. I arrived about 8:10 am and was the 10th person back in line. Took less than 20 min to meet her though. She does speak with a Scottish accent and she is so adorable.

(And I love that you caught a picture of my favorite CM ever!)

I may have missed this, but 1) where exactly is the M&G, and 2) when does it "open"? 1 hour after opening?

is it near the tink bell pixi hollow at all? or the castle walk though?

Ok, maybe I'm in the minority here, but I can't get excited about a character I don't even know yet. For months I been getting constant info from the Disney blog, facebook, etc on her and I'm wondering why. Until I see the movie she is nothing to me. I don't want to buy Brave merchandise because it has no meaning to me. After I see it, I'm sure I'll feel differently and love all that stuff, but for now I'm not getting in to it. :confused3 Maybe it's just me.

Does she sign autographs? I have my Autograph book ready and Like to add unique characters, can't wait.

I just read the new blog post http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2930068 about Merida at Disneyland and it sounds really fantastic if you're there on a day when the park isn't crowded. I'm wondering how well it is designed to handle large crowds. Can lots of kids get to the coloring area at once? Will there be second and third long lines for cake toss and archery?

The meet & greet area is well thought out.
There are two seperate experiences.

A. Line to meet Merida & the Bear Cubs, then Archery. Merida is not hidden and you can walk up to the meet & greet and watch Merida and the cubs from a few feet away. The line takes 30 minutes to 2 hours. If the que is full it will be two hours.

B. Activities: 1. Spin to learn your Clan. 2. Blank paper, crayons, and rub stones to reveal Clan images. 3. Picnic Tables and crayons to color a picture of Merida and Angus. 4. Bean Bag (Cakes) toss.

The "B" section is not busy most of the time. It can get backed up at station 2 when a kid or two wants to rub all stones. Stations 1, 3,and 4 are not busy. People can leave the line to meet Merida, and do the Activities while someone holds their place in line. There is no line for the Activities.

Merida is not hidden like at the PFF or Rapunzel. It is very easy to see her up close. Once in a while she will interact with the people who walk up to see what is going on. Eg: Two girls walked up and growled like bears, and Merida asked them to do it again, because they sounded just like the cubs!....

3. Merida and Angus to color:
