Did you get through to member services to use the new benefit to buy the annual passes using points?

I got through. Went through the entire program. We have a trip booked with our kids and grandkids in Feb and October, with early December with friends most likely. So….after picking apart the cost of tickets for the trips with the kids (thats when I will run around the parks) and seeing the cost of the memory magic maker photopass, I changed my mind and bought MMB with a gift card I received for Christmas and then I used some lingering points for the AP. I won’t know if any of this is worth it until I put it to use (or not). Why?

Given how long the waits seem today I'm just going to wait to do it tomorrow and hopefully the night I want is still there. I doubt people are rushing to book a bungalow with OTU points anyways :X

2 hours 35 minutes by time all was said and done. Couldn’t really hear the CM well due to the other CM’s on their calls in the background. Very very busy there today. I had many questions and the CM had to put me on hold a few times due to her system freezing up. She had to call a supervisor for access. We will see if this was worth it!

Yikes! They weren’t ready on launch day. I like how the hold voice is reminding me of all the planning actions I can do online… except buy OTUP! Most businesses try to reduce or eliminate friction when the customer is trying to give them $.

I’ll stop my complaining and hold.

No I did it online, the option to buy was available for me.

Next is the OTUP, but I’ll wait a few days until the wait time clears of.

Proudly still DVC-Y until they add some tangible benefits (for us, at least). We're banking over 200 points this year, so no need for OTUP... Still a bit salty that they will start locking us out of the lounge if we haven't "paid".

For us, they need to add some better carrot to get us to do this. Things I'd like to see:

• Discounts on Golf Carts at FW
• Discounts on DDP
• Ability to buy Full AP via Points
• Certain # of Water Park admissions
• Certain # of rounds of golf
• Included refillable cups at Aulani

And actually, I think that the paid perks program is a terrible idea. To me, it doesn't move their sales goals, and it would make more sense to tier in benefits, maybe at 300/500/700 points?

All that said, for those of you whom this does work for, I do hope that you are definitely getting use out of it and enjoy it!

Fortunately I was driving, and then was finally taking down our outdoor Christmas lights.

90 minutes almost on the dot. Using the points for a one night stay in the Cabins at FW

Yes, businesses should optimize the ways to part the customer from their money.

I've never bought OTUP before, and I didn't realize it couldn't be done online. Definitely seems like a point of improvement, especially for the initial day of MMB.

Correct, the one that allows NYE, etc.

Also, the AP add-on's are great for Oak Trail, that's the kind of thing that would be great for MM

Thanks - do you (or anyone with the answer) happen to know what a sorcerer pass renewal costs? Since I don't have an activated pass I can't get the answer on the WDW website. Did a search and came up with 2021 pricing.

I have some old tickets and it's difficult to decide whether this is the right time to use an old platinum pass and then downgrade on renewal to a Sorcerer pass. I have no plans for any actual Xmas day to New Years trips; been saving the pass just in case as I used up other tickets and now I'm starting to think I'll just use it.

I really wish you could use the points to purchase the APs online. I’m not in a rush (we are going in August), but I’m excited to get it taken care of but def don’t want to spend hours on the phone.

Thanks. That's for the renewal? I know it's 65 points with MMB and that's what I was trying to figure what a renewal (approximately) would be as I have an older pass in my MDE that doesn't expire til 2030. I have to use it sooner than later.
