Membership Magic Beyond

Don’t know if it was discussed but points for annual passes are up

“Use your Points to purchase the Disney Sorcerer Pass to enjoy Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks. Get a new pass for 75 points or renew your pass for 65 points.”
So at $10 per point in dues that makes the price $750 in dues alone, plus whatever the prorated present value of whatever you paid for the points.

Alternatively you could rent out 54 points for $20 each and pay for it that way.

The last renewal price I paid was $905, including sales tax. That means the 65 points in this scenario have a cash equivalency of just under $14, which isn't too shabby compared to renting, especially if you pay tax on the rental income.

To be fair, that $20 each doesn’t take into account the income tax that should be paid.

Even better than I was planning for! This is fantastic news! Average of $14/point is around $6 more than the MF's I will be paying in 2025 for the points I will use....and for me, definitely worth it the ease over dealing with renting!

The discounts on tickets is what I was expecting...I know when me DD was a CM, that is the discount that they received...

ETA: The T & C do not have anything regarding restricitons on which points can be used....so, its very possible that we can use both direct and resale points, as long as we are a member eligible to buy this program...that works really great for me because I can use SSR vs. VGF it it stays true!

The 35% savings on tickets at Disneyland applies to the non-hopper ticket. Hoppers are 30% off. Breakdown is $85 off each ticket (regardless of type), plus the $96 value for the included LLMP. No discount on the hopper add-on. (Hence the percentage difference).

So for my already planned trip to DLR in May, I'll be saving $362 on 2 tickets. Or $263 after purchasing MMB. Also planned on buying OTUP next year. Definitely worthwhile for us.

And before anyone "corrects" my math to include the $99 cost of MMB, I'll also get the Memory Maker thingy, use the priority lounge access 95 times, and take many photos of my granddaughters with the characters. Who knows, we may even book something through the Disney Collection to have the fee waived and buy one-time use points for the first time ever because they're a helluva deal.

This is so much better than we thought! I’m actually contemplating a renewal now. Did it clarify if we had to use direct points/eligible points for this or can be done with resale?
I would assume direct only as the pre-condition for the package is that you have a direct 150-point contract.

The Membership Magic Beyond option is part of Membership Extras which, effective June 3, 2021, requires having an ownership interest with 150 Vacation Points or more purchased directly from Disney Vacation Development, Inc.

Does that include Memory Maker?
No tickets include memory maker but if you were to normally buy MM then paying $99 is a no brainer...but that doesn't change the fact its only a 10% discount on weekday only tickets....The under cover tourist tickets can be used on the weekend as well.

Undercover tourist looks like it would save me $54 compared to $74 per adult base ticket with MMB of course there is no additional cost for the MMB plan.

Does Undercover tourist take Disney Gift Cards? I save so much more throughout the year on those so when paying for people not in my household that might be worth it to use UCT.

As an international owner I would really like to take advantage of this, and maybe I’m naive but im still counting on it.

🤞🤞Go go Disney change your mind and update those T&C🤞🤞

Somehow I missed this news for the last month and I'm just catching up but this is a no-brainer right? Like even if you did nothing but the OTUP you're making money?

Does we know if the Memory Maker is 30 days from when you sign up, 30 days from first use, or any 30 days throughout the year?
