None of my 7 month trips are locked. So, it doesn’t make sense that they locked it after you purchased the points.

I guess we will see what happens when I do.

That’s because you didn’t try and rebook the same Res. I did that in order to try and swap in the OTUP

Well, it’s never been that way so I guess we shall see tomorrow.

I just am surprised that it wasn’t locked and then after you purchased it changed.

Tried it again and it’s still showing the lock. But I then tried modifying (really just rebooking the same days) on a different Res and it seemed to allow me to use my OTUP. So now I’m really confused.

Just chat members services and have them do it. I had a reservation that was definitely made within 7 months where the contracts were locked on it recently and they had to unlock it and move around points for me. It wasn't OTUP, but it works the same. I wanted to make sure that it used all my banked points first so I could bank any extras if I don't go on another trip this year.

My guess is that the lock was there for some other reason.

As I said, if I modify a home resort booking at 7 months vs just booking a new non home resort booking, it always stays locked.

BC isn’t my Home resort, so it was definitely under 7 months. But I did modify it back as ways by dropping a few days. I’ll be calling tomorrow to see if MS has an answer and also to try and use the OTUP on my Aulani stay, since that has availability where I could book a night in the middle of my stay and then drop the doubled up night.

You should be able to have MS swap out the points if it wasn’t made during home resort booking period.

No you can only buy the OTUP for a reservation.

You can then cancel the reservation 2 sec after it’s made to free up the OTUP. Afterwards you can use them to buy the pass. You can not get more than 24 OTUP.

They need to, as they otherwise would be renting you the points for money, and that’s not allowed.
From the looks of it when you buy the bogo you will be getting 2 x 12 points in two different contracts.

Apparently, it really matters which CM you talk to. I called today and the CM had no issues swapping out 24 points on a booked Res for the OTUP I have in my account. Told just yesterday by a different CM, that there was no way to do that. I didn't ask about the Lock on the booked points. Too nervous she would catch a mistake and change my points back.

Yes! I renewed both my Sorcerers Passes and was able to use my holding points (as they are direct points, must still be direct points) and was able to purchase 24 OTU points (using the 2-for-1 benefit) at the same time to pay for the renewals.

Thanks for this experience. Anyone else have any success? My account has some sort of issue purchasing the OTUP at all, which to be able to use them for the Sorcerer's Pass was really the only reason I purchased MMB. It's only been a few days, but no timeline on when the issue will be resolved and I need to purchase this pass for our mid-February trip. Bright side is at least I'm not running up against our banking window!

Since it says we can buy OTU points for the AP, we may be able to do that without the need for a reservation.

I have not yet tried but may be soon. I’ll let you know what happens.

Has anyone purchased the Disneyland discounted tickets? I’m struggling to find out if my dates are peak or off peak pricing. Anyway to figure that out or do I need to call?
