Meghan Markle…

No, I am not into lifestyle shows like that. My mom liked watching Martha Stewart and it would put me to sleep. Plus, cutting the cord has kept that type of show off of my tv for so long that even if I did have an interest at one time, I would have moved on by now. Most of the lifestyle shows I have tried don’t reflect things I have an interest in.

Very interested! I found Spare fascinating and I didn't even know Meghan Markle had a Netflix show coming up so thanks OP for posting this. Guess we need to keep Netflix for another few months...

I just saw the trailer for this show and no, I don't see myself watching. I don't typically watch these types of lifestyle shows, but there's also just something inauthentic about her. Or maybe that's the wrong word. I don't know if she's kind of put in the years or work in order to be a kind of entertaining expert. Ina...absolutely. Martha...yes. But Meghan...ehhh.

I think what people really want to see from them, if anything....is about their private life....her, Harry, the kids...all of that. Without that, I think they just continue to spin their wheels.

I agree about the bolded. Everything seems like an act with her.

I fuzzily remember that Meghan had a blog or website long before she met Harry that was also about lifestyle stuff. It was kind of high end if I recall and she was successful with it. She wasn't just acting on Suits back then. :scratchin

Google's description of it: "The Tig was a blog where Markle shared her thoughts on fashion, travel, food, and beauty, and also interviewed celebrities. The name was a clever play on her favorite wine, Tignanello, from a prestigious Italian winery Marchesi Antinori. This Italian wine is equally loved by serious collectors, wine asset managers, and celebrities alike. It is priced at about $200 per bottle."

One of the stipulations by the Royals in her getting together with Harry and showing she was serious about him was that she give up her blog and that business and identity. So, she had actually given up a lot to prove she was serious abut Harry.

I actually thought when the couple gave up being royal, that she'd go back to building up her brand and business again. Instead, they took that weird detour to whining and complaining and being victims and trying to tear down the royal family. :sad2:

Maybe, she's finally gone back to doing a variation on what her old blog was about. 🤷‍♀️ Too bad she and Harry have ruined their reputations, identities and whatever brands they could have positively have had. I won't be watching.

I disagree with the haters here. What would you be if your father cut off your security from the paparazzi you had been chased by all your life simply because you were his kid? Or if your father had never made an attempt to see his grandchildren. Or if you flew halfway around the world to see your sick father and he only had 40 minutes for you. Please, he wasn’t a Dad that took his kids to Disney. I think Harry and Meghan are wonderful people despite what they endured.

Regardless that it is Meghan Markle:

I want to know who this is for? Who are the people (mainly women) who make these elaborate table settings?

It feels very Stepford wives. Trad wives. I know that works for some families, and all the power to them, but is this what the majority of women is looking for? It is so niche.

Outside of the special occasions, who does this?

And what normal person goes to a beekeeper and is allowed to get up close to harvest their own honey?

Well actually I do. We have beehives where I work (community college) I get to put on a suit, smoke the bees and extract and spin the frames to get the honey. I don't buy honey. We have lots of beekeepers where I live (western mass). It is fascinating seeing how the honey changes at different times of the year... I think I am relatively normal..... but def. not a trad wife.

Then again... I often buck the tend.... I also like Megan Markle. I love how she pissed off the traditionalist royals and royal watchers.

You have the opportunity, but if you wouldn't work there, would you still do this? Was this on your mind before you started to work there?
