McKim's Mile House and ImaginAtrium Member Lounge Info. - UPDATE 3/14/25

No offense to Imagineer McKim, but every time I see/hear the name of this lounge my brain registers it as "McRib House".
There’s a pub in Busan, South Korea called McKim’s which makes my husband laugh every time he remembers it, so this is a huge win for him.

Wait, I’ve been informed it was O’Kims and now husband has a different reason to laugh each time we pass it.

FIRST LOOK at Mural For New Magic Kingdom Disney Vacation Club Lounge

Text on a brick wall reads The Frontier's Best Kept Secret in decorative black and blue fonts.

The mural, painted directly on a brick wall, reads, “The Frontier’s Best Kept Secret.” The text is black with blue filigree. DVC wrote on Instagram, “The wildest lounge in the wilderness is headin’ your way real soon! Double tap if you’re excited to visit Disney Vacation Club McKim’s Mile House – A Member Lounge at Magic Kingdom Park!”

Construction site in front of a log cabin-style building with a sign reading New Frontiers Await. People are walking and a person in a mobility scooter passes by. Trees and greenery are visible.
A railing in the Instagram photo suggests it’s near some steps. If we had to guess, we would assume the mural is on the brick wall to the right of the lounge, as seen in our above photo of lounge construction from last month. The mural’s text style matches that of the “New Frontiers Await” text on the construction wall.

The comments on that DVC Instagram post crack me up "oh great, just what the world's busiest theme park needs. A lounge for the wealthy elite instead of something useful for all guests to enjoy." 🤣🤣🤣

I don’t entirely disagree with the sentiment… although I don’t perceive myself as wealthy, and especially not a part of the elite…

Just imagine how they feel about Club 33 in the WDW parks.

And they seriously think the area is large enough to do much else with the space? No ride system would fit there, and likely no animatronic show. If the Shootin' Gallery has been really popular, it wouldn't have been removed.
I liked shooting galleries as a kid, but times were different 50 to 60 years ago. We even had 'coon skin caps from real raccoon hides. The "Old West" is losing it's appeal, maybe for justifiable reasons, but kind of sad to lose the nostalgia.

Just sour people. If they looked into it further they would realize that they will finance just about anyone with a 10% down payment and a pulse, so much for the wealthy elite 🤣🤣
