marching band parade route

Hi all!
I am in the color guard in my school's marching band and we are going to Disney to perform. I think they said we are doing parades in the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. We did a parade yesterday at a local amusement park and me and my friends (other people in color guard) were talking about going to Disney this year. They said that the parade in Disney will probably be a lot longer than the one we did yesterday. I said yes, it probably would be, but I could try and find out exactly how long it really is. So, that's my job now. Has anyone here marched in a parade in Disney with a marching band or do you know someone who has? If so, about how long is it? Is it the same route that they do for the actual Disney parades?
Thanks in advance! We are so excited to go and I know they would love to find this bit of info out.

I marched in the Magic Kingdom way back in 1979. It was the same route that they use for their parades today (afternoon & evening). It's probably the SHORTEST parade we've ever marched in. Most parades are usually a good couple of miles, but I would have to guess that the MK parade is MAYBE a mile. ???

Simba928, that's so cool! When are you marching? I'm one of those crazy ex-band Moms who still cry whenever they see bands marching at WDW. DS marched there about 5 years ago. And then this past summer, he marched every day as part of the All American College Band-imagine how much crying I did then! Honestly, I'd love to see you when you're there.

We marched in Epcot this past April. We came out between Japan and Morocco, marched around the front of the World Showcase, then returned backstage between Germany and Italy. It wasn't horribly long, but we did have to play a lot because Disney wouldn't let us have long drum cadences in between songs like we do in parades at home. It still wasn't bad, though.

Your son must have had an awesome time marching! You must be so proud. What instrument did he play? We are going in the middle of February. Around the 17th I believe. I am not sure of the days and times we are marching yet, though. If I remember by then (I'm sure I will be too excited to forget) I will be glad to tell you the date that we are performing.
