Marathon Weekend 2026

You want to log into your account, and then click on "your events" (shown on an iphone screen. on a PC it's in a bar near the top left of your screen.) This will show all of the events you registered for, both for yourself AND your friends. I have grayed out the name of the person in my example.

The resulting page will look like this, and you'll want to click on the "1 document needs your attention" so you get a drop-down from that.

The resulting drop-down will look like this, and you'll want to click/tap the "SEND TO _______" link which will give you a pop-up page with the person's email you used during registration (assuming you used THEIR email for their bib and not yours for everyone) and click send.

They should then receive an email from rundisney to "Link Your Registration and Sign Your Documents" and they need to follow the directions inside.

**If you or they are international runners, you can either print/sign a physical copy and bring it with you to the expo, or get a paper copy AT the expo as international runners cannot complete the waiver digitally.

I’m a DNS for princess 10k and the half because I pulled my hamstring a couple weeks before the race. I had to promise my doctor I would slowly walk the 5k with my niece who was 32 weeks pregnant. It would have been nice if I could have transferred my bib in person at the expo to my nephew who at the last minute came down for the weekend.

I will say, as a still relatively new runner, that running the marathon was COMPLETELY different than doing a half. It was a completely different beast. I KNEW that going in, but it was still a huge learning experience when I hit mile 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20... and I still had to keep going. I was like, oh. This is way harder than the jump from 10k to half.
I know right?? My experience was similar. 5K to 10K was not bad, then 10K to 10mi, then 10mi to half. That's all a nice smooth progression until you get to the giant chasm from half to full. It always made me think there should be an 18- or 19-mileish distance out there, a three-quarter marathon or something. 🤣

Not in my experience. I ordered the 2025 Men’s jacket about a month after registration. For DL 2024 I ordered the jacket at least 2 months after registration because I didn’t get registered until well after registration opened. This is bizarre because they should just be able to increase their order. Why leave money on the table?

I think I want the Goofy hoodie but because of size, I don’t think I want to pre-order. But even for that one, Small and Medium are sold out and for most hoodies I’m either a M or L. I just don’t understand runDisney’s merchandising strategy.

Thabk you for the info, I appreciate it! I have been trying to give this some thoughts I wonder if they can only order in large lot sizes as in they can order 5,000 or 10,000. I kinda assume the folks that do the ordering have been told they have to eat any left over merchandise. I'll probaby try checking once a week or so to see if they added any stock.

I have done several halves over the years but this will be my first time running a full, I know I can do 16 miles now to add another long run on top of it... Would by lying if I didn't say it scares me a little.

A 30k! It’s 18.6 miles so just before the wall! I’ve never done one but husband is planning to sign up for one this fall. He has said he has no interest in ever doing marathon. But he also never planned to do a half marathon until I came along and has now done 4, mwah ha ha ha!

Hmm I will have to look for one of those in my area. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one but then I’ve never really looked, thanks!

In the meantime you can start practicing the line “C’mon hon it’s only 8 more miles!” for when your husband completes the 30K. 😉

Every year there is a lot of talk of a lottery and then talking about the non-finishers, slower runners, and/or those that have not run a 5k, but are swept up in FOMO and sign up for Dopey. Personally, I don't care. To me, that is the unique space of Disney races and it's very genrous cut offs are almost unheard of in most marathons. Because of that, it brings people i to running that normally wouldn't and I see that as a great thing. There are a ton of great marathons out there in great locations if you are looking for a faster race, more traditional marathon. I didn't do marathons before rundisney, but now I have done over 10 of them, I credit this race, which I really consider a novice friendly "event" than a traditional race, as the reason I really got i to running well beyond rundisney. I think a lottery, for good or bad, puts just another barrier up for those new to running.

Good afternoon, RunDisney All-Stars! The results are in for the round of 16 of March Magical Madness. Things went pretty much according to seed, with one minor upset when Ronto Roasters edged out the Brown Derby. Here are your results from the round:

Les Halles 20 -10 Karamell Kuche
Spice Road Table 10 - 18 Via Napoli
Brown Derby 13 - 16 Ronto Roasters
Baseline Taphouse 13 - 16 ABC Commissary
Skipper's Canteen 23
- 8 Pecos Bill's
Gaston's Tavern 9 - 23 Columbia Harbour House
Yak & Yeti 19
- 11 Tusker House
Flame Tree Barbecue 14 - 18 Satu'li Canteen

Voting is now open through Friday for the quarterfinals. Here's the bracket for the matchups:1742142513714.png

SAFD: Pouring one out for Baseline Taphouse

My votes
Epcot: Via Napoli
DHS:I debated whether to vote for this one as I’ve never done Ronto and I find ABC pretty inconsistent but I will reluctantly vote for ABC Commissary
MK: This is tough as it’s my 2 favorite MK restaurants. I’m going to pick Skipper Canteen for 2 reasons - the cast members and the theming. Sorry CHH.
AK: Yak & Yeti

FWIW i hear more complaints about not having a lottery from newbies who repeatedly can’t get in. I’ve seen a LOT of “I entered the queue as soon as it opened, why didn’t I get in?” I’d guess the vast majority of people here don’t want a lottery bc we know how the system works.

SAFD:

Les Halles (my precious baguette, I will always love you)
Ronto Roasters (even though I don’t eat them, I’m here for the vibes)
Columbia Harbour House (great atmosphere and the best quick service in MK, which isn’t hard, but still)
Satu’li Canteen (I love the build your own bowls and the inside seating is top notch on a hot day)

Question for those who ran the marathon this year - do we know what the window for riding Everest was? I read a few people saying that when they ran past, the CMs weren't letting runners ride. Trying to figure out when that cutoff was to plan for next year.

yes. but if people are complaining about not getting in, maybe they need to use a different strategy. I feel like this is akin to someone who goes to Disney once every 5 years or so going in without any sort of plan or understanding of how things work in the parks (LL, multipass, mobile ordering, etc) and then complaining about how their day was horrible. There is a LOT of easily accessible information out there with some google searches.
