That has me re-evaluating my 10k (Pooh) and half (Donald) costumes (using the word costume VERY loosely). Though if the half has rain I suppose the characters will get pulled anyways. Ahhhh…

I will miss you by a few hours. I’m on the first flight out. (Yes I know what time it is. Blame being a night owl plus other shenanigans today.)

Had to have the convo of my new boss who I’m still getting to respect the ‘if you only employ me from 10-12 please don’t expect me to drop everything last minute when you decide to message me 9 hours later.’ Like the work for this is so fluctuates so much that normally I don’t mind the hours not always being technically when they are listed because I can do most of it on my phone.

But not the weekend of Dopey. I’m trying to get everything set up to expedite what work I will have this week. But I did have to tell her this week especially don’t expect responses in the evening because if you message me at 9 pm I will be in bed trying to sleep if not asleep

Me Sunday packing: -looking at towel I was given at the end of RCM and seat cover I bought- Do I really need to pack this?

Me tonight looking at the forecast for Saturday; Yeah that was the right choice

Friday just keeps getting warmer on AccuWeather. Half debating swapping my planned outfit for the half with the 10 and vise versa. Will post if I do.

No practicing needed for me. Landed yesterday morning, slept in the afternoon, and jet lag has had me up since 1130.

I'm sitting at the gate for the first leg of my flights to MCO. 3 hours or so of sleep last night is good practice for race mornings (a term to be used loosely, since we don't see anything resembling morning until long after we wake up)

Pay no attention to the man out on the driveway wrapped in the shiny blanket. Just me testing a mylar wrap in the cold. 18 degrees out, feels like 3. Seems like it may work ok.

The Apple weather app, which I've always found to be fairly accurate, is only showing a 25% chance of rain on Saturday morning, and they're only predicting a tenth of an inch for the day anyway. And I've gotten pics with characters in the rain, Hook and Smee during the 2022 W&D Half pre-hurricane downpour, I can actually see raindrops in the photo, and water dripping off Smee's nose

I was up at 4 after 6ish hours of sleep, standing at the gate at BTV waiting to board. The negative about a small airport is I'm always connecting (DTW this time), but it took all of 5 minutes to check my bag and get through security.

The roads were a bit icy, but I made it to the airport. Flight says it is on time. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and I make my connection! Getting closer!

Another added stress to this weekend (besides the weather) is that my dog swallowed a squeaker sometime around Christmas. He had surgery to remove it on Friday after Christmas. He’s been recovering mostly well. I’m boarding him at the vet this week instead of his normal place. They can keep an eye on him and remove the staples when they need to. I’m glad I have pet insurance with this guy. He’s been pretty expensive this year!

I just found out after years of having DAS that there’s a scooter viewing area for fireworks. Guess I know what park I’m ending the night at today

(Starting at Epcot because I like to start the trip hopping on the Skyliner from Pop.)

Looking forward to everyone getting here- I’ve never been here this early and there’s a distinct lack of people walking around in rD gear. It will feel realer when I check into Pop today though (and now that I am coming from there and not the Ramada if anyone wants to share an Uber to the expo early for CrD access tomorrow let me know).

We had that same flight booked as well, but needed to stay home for one more day due to work. So we will be on tomorrow morning's flight out of RDU!
