is it better make them online or over the phone
my travel agent said i can make them online 180 days in advance plus 10 days before if i have a booking number
but the people on the phone said i can only do them 180 days in advance & make reservations for up to 10 days
which is right thanks

If you are staying onsite you can book your adrs 180 days from your arrival day....then up to 10 days into your vacation.

Have a good trip.

Sorry I didn't answer that did I. LOL

Personally I like online. You can start an hour before everyone else making them for that day.

Online starts at 6am EST, where as doing them over the phone you have to wait until 7am EST.

It is easy doing them online. If you aren't familar with the online system, I recommend going online and practicing to get a feel for how you do them.

Good luck and have fun!!

(oh and for practicing, you can't do it with your ressie # for the +10, but you can book adrs to get the feel...hopefully that makes sense).

I would recommend online, especially if you are going to make ADRs right on the 180 day mark. The online system rolls over at 6am ET, which is one hour earlier than the reservation phone line at 7am ET.

The online system has become very easy to use, and you can even practice ahead of time to get the feel of the system. There's no risk in making a real reservation and then canceling it, to practice.

(Edit: amused that Nadjalu and I said almost the exact same things at the exact same time.)

You just log in and it will allow you to book for your entire vacation at the 180 day mark from checkin date. I don't think its an issue now that they moved it back to 180 days. I just booked spring break week (not easter week), at only 88 days out, and got Chef Mickey, 1900, and crystal palace without a problem. But I find it much better to book online, because it saves the confirmation numbers for you, and you can print them- so theres no worry about writing down the number wrong, etc. Plus its easier because if you cant get the restaurant yuo wanted, or time- it will give you alternate times and reservations that ARE available.

Do I have to have my trip paid in full to make reservations or just have the deposit put down so I have my reservation number

You don't have to have the trip paid in full to book ADRs. In fact you don't have to have a trip booked at all. And you don't have to have a dining plan. The only restriction relates to whether you're staying onsite or offsite but you've probably come across that by now.

Have a great trip!

I've never used the online system~ it was pretty new our last trip and you couldn't make reservations for large parties. We are a party of 11. If I use the 180 +10 method, do I just log in under one of our reservation numbers~ will it let me make a ressie for 11 if the reservation is only for 4 people~ we will have 3 rooms, but I can't log into all 3 at one time... how does this work?

Anybody have link to this? We are going to be there in December and would like to get a feel of the website. Thanks!

I just made my ADR's this morning using the online system and I loved it. Super easy and I got everything that I wanted within 30 minutes of the time I wanted.
