Do you prefer one over the other?

Is one better quality?

How about Eddie Bauer?

I like all 3 and find them pretty similar in their quality and selection.

I order from both
llbean is better (IMO) for sporty stuff (hiking, biking kayaking etc...)
Lands end has better choices in swimwear and ladies clothing and also dressy stuff.
LLBeans pants used to have a small high waist (they may not anymore). They never fit me right -so I quit ordering pants from them.
Both have lots of choices in outer wear
Both have monagraming and luggage.
Lands ends shoes tend to be narrow
LLBean has a credit card that gives you free shipping and monograming

I used to order mostly from Lands' End, but now since I have the LLBean Visa, I order from them, since I get free shipping and monogramming. Also, I earn points so I've gotten a lot of things from them free, including clothes, sheets, backpacks, shoes, luggage, etc.

I like all three and will order from all of them.

I don't care for many of the clothing designs from Eddie Bauer this year, but have had good luck with their clothes fitting well in the past. I prefer to order their t-shirts online because my local Eddie Bauer puts the electronic shop-lifting tags through the fabric on the shirst and I've gotten a couple of the shirts home just to find that the electronic tags had cut some of the threads in the fabric.

The 100% cotton sweaters from LL Bean shrink. I've learned to not put them in the dryer.

Some of the Lands Ends clothes run big.

Lands End was recently bought out by Sears and IMO their quality has taken a nosedive.

I agree - I used to buy just Lands End(lots of items for DD, DH, and I) - with a few items from Eddie Bauer here and there. I really loved them. After Sears took them over the quality and styling went down hill terrible. The kids stuff was the last hold out, it took a little longer. Eddie Bauer is OK, but I am not crazy about the styles lately, so have not purchased from them.

I now buy from LL Bean for those types of clothes.

I'm probably more of an LLBean person, but that has a lot to do with all of the outlet stores around here. You can get some really good prices sometimes!

I've never had good luck with Lands End. Things just don't seem to fit right :confused3

LL Bean here - love the LL Bean Christmas catalog -

At any rate nothing better or warmer than their parkas - just thinking about the catalog makes me want snow!!!

Jenny :)

Pick a parka for me hpygrl? I'm always cold and want the warmest coat there is.

I would have to say that about sums it up nicely!!! :thumbsup2

I buy at all 3 a lot!
Eddie Bauer has the s l o w e s t.... shipping known to man. Love their styles, comfort, wearability and sales- great sales.
Lands End has a lot more fashionable clothes. Maybe I have gotten lucky but I have not noticed any difference in quality in the last several years.
LL Bean I will probably give the nod to customer service, excellent shipping and great quality clothes.
I orderes from Land End and Eddie Bauer online the same day in July and LL Bean arrived in 3 days w/ no special shippnig request and EB took 2 weeks!
Also, LLB has no tax!
OT, but I ordered from Oriental Trading Co and Bath and Body Works a few weeks ago. OTC - got to me in 4 days. B&BW - 2 weeks +

I  the LL BEAN store and catalog....it is the SNOW I can do without :cold:

LL Bean - we have an outlet store about 20 minutes away. Can't beat their sales. We too got the LLBean Visa. The free shipping is great. Every couple of months we get $10 coupons in the mail. Much more customer friendly than my Disney Visa.
Both of my boys have LL Bean backpacks. One has had his for 6 years the other for 3. Both are in great condition.

FreshTessa - I have the Warm Up Parka from LL Bean - it's good up to something like 30 degrees below zero!!!! Plenty warm for me - I love it!!!

Total nosedive - we don't shop Lands End anymore.

LL Bean is great for outwear and gear.

Eddie Bauer is my all time favorite store for business casual and weekend wear. They make the most amazing wrinkle free button downs and gabardine slacks! My wife and I both shop Eddie Bauer (we have a mall store here) for a good majority of our work attire.

I am an LL Bean person too.......but I live just 20 miles from the Maine store....I have the warm up jacket and so does DH......I love my new coat that still has the tags on it....Didnt get to wear it last winter......tried to wear my older vs of beans coats. Having an outlet is good too......love the sales ......We have our sons backpack that he used in highschool and took to college.....it is over 15 years old.....we use it in the parks at Disney

I shop all three. I love LLBean for the free shipping with their credit card, and for their fantastic customer service. I don't think their sizing is very consistent in their petite line, and I end up having to do a lot of returning. I think they have the overall best quality--when I can find something that fits.

Eddie Bauer has slightly more fashionable styles, but their shipping cost is outrageous. I hate the $3 handling charge they add on top of the shipping fee.

I buy more from Lands' End than the other two, and haven't seen much of a difference in quality other than a few items that are found only at Sears and not in their catalog.

Little known and I just found out recently - if you go to the store and order online or call it in from the store there is no shipping! :thumbsup2
