LL Premier Pass is here!

Right along the lines of Universal Express Pass - I believe the general Express Pass gives you one express entrance per attraction.

Makes me wonder if Disney ends up following the Universal model and including an unlimited Premier Pass if you book Deluxe...or a certain level of Deluxe resort. Bundle it up with a high-level room rate....
If I can still get a good room discount this is the one way Id every get this!

Given the numerous posts I've seen comparing LLPP to Universal's Express Pass, I feel like there are a lot of uninformed or misinformed people about how these skip-the-line systems work, and why Disney trying to copy Universal on this would be an Epic (pun intended) failure.
You know why most don't understand how it works at Universal and other parks, cause they would have to visit them first.

The only way this works is by eliminating the cheap version and limiting to this new premier system.

I can see how that could be the talking narrative but $100 vs $1600 and the ONLY diff is using your phone to click another available pass after you use one (ignoring UPDATE potential) isn't worth $1500 to me and not sure how anyone else? Obviously, Disney has done their research but it won't be me.
You have to wait for the next window, assuming there are any slots left for the day. It's not worth it to me BUT there is BIG difference.
I know everyone has different PTO/time/etc. but I'd rather just stay an additional 1-2 days on property for that cost.
Agreed, but an extra 2 nights at a deluxe might cost the same,or more, including meals.

I’ll splurge on some pretty bougie Disney experiences. But this won’t be one of them. The only park it might, and that’s a BIG might even be worth the money is MK. Even then it’s a stretch. I can’t fathom spending 100-200$ or more a person for a park like AK or EP where there are like 2-3 rides there’s a decent competition more. This is something that may have been more valuable to roll out in a couple years when all the park expansions are complete/

They are all vying for that same front of the line que ???? Imagine paying $400. a day for this "front of the line" pass , only to be waiting in line with everyone else who payed only a fraction of the cost.
The premier pass holders can walk up and join any ride that has the Lightning Lane at  any time, whereas the regular passes can not.

Yes, you are waiting in the same lane. But once you're done with that ride, you can immediately walk onto another ride.

Both versions can coexist as long as a very limited number of the premier passes are sold. I can see guests buying both premier and regular passes if Disney doesn't offer unlimited rerides or the multi-parks option.

Still a big NOPE !
I understand that its a better system than the standard LL (can't believe I just said LL was standard !) , but the fact still remains that it is the same line !
If I am spending hundreds of dollars for this premier pass , they better be personally escorting me to the front of the line !
Disney doesnt not have enough ride capacity to handle the standard LL price model . This Premier pass would be perfect if they just got rid of the standard LL system . Cant have it both ways !

Well we will have real data on October 23 when the LLPP go on sale for October 30th. Disney has often managed to have it both ways over the decades. Remember this is just a Pilot at this point so some adjustments are to be expected as it rolls out.

They don't even do this for the VIP Tours. The only two that came close when we did it was Rise, we came in at Rey hologram, and Toy Story Mania we came in the exit , and oh, maybe Jungle Cruise. But mostly just the LL

And I'll bet by limited they mean limited to the number of people who are willing or can afford (or not) to pay for this. The next iteration will be for this to be accessed by entering the exit queue where possible to avoid waiting in the LL line.

Thinking about trying this for at least one day in early November. Do we know if they go on sale on 10/23 or not until 10/30? I've seen articles saying both things. If not until 10/30, do we know how they will handle people who already purchased LLMP at the 7 day mark? I'd hate to skip that, wait until 10/30, then get shut out of this (seems unlikely, but they do say "very limited quantities").

LL MP +LLSP is not $25 per person, and $400 is the maximum premier pass cost. But it is a pretty big price difference. However, clicking another available pass is not the only difference.

First, you must schedule your days a week in advance, hoping you can get early times for what you want and with some idea which rides to get based on research. You have to know to get one early ride (Average person's eyes already glazing over...some people refused to use free paper FP because it was "too complicated" for crying out loud). Then each day, you have to get your group there for the early ride, whether they like it or not. (Try this with night owls.) Then know which ride to try for next, each time all day, refreshing when necessary, phone in hand. Keep your group on schedule all day. If your kid is queasy from a ride or starving too early, oh well, limited room for adjustments.

Or, buy a pass that lets you ride each headliner once whenever you want on a trip that is once in a lifetime for you because next year you're taking the kids to Europe on a tour that you pay someone to plan.

I used the equivalent at Disneyland Paris last month. That cost ~€120 for one day. We did it on the last day of our 3 day trip, and we did almost every ride that was included in the pass just because we could (eg Its a small world and autopia). It was fun for one day, but was a lot of work as we shlepped our way around the park trying to fit everything in.
I was travelling with a couple, so not too expensive for each of us. I had to think twice about the cost/benefit on that trip and it was 1/3 of the price at WDW.

At the prices for Magic Kingdom, no park hopper support, this seems like a lite version of taking a VIP tour. Its not something that would be suitable for a week long vacation, and probably too expensive for most families (which will limit the demand). It may be ok for a one day splurge (such as a Birthday and the family already have AP or are locals and can buy cheaper 1d tickets).

I also think people keep overlooking, the average Universal guests doesn't use express.
You can enjoy Universal without it. Just like you'll be able to enjoy WDW/DLR without it. It's a luxury that is nice to have but not needed.
Universal doesn't state their pass will get you to the front of the line - they say it will cut the queue time to 50% of the standby line. It can be better, but if the line is long it may still be crazy - It was going to be an hour wait for the Hogwarts express between the two parks. When I used it, it excluded Hagrids and Veloci-coaster, and was a day in mid december but before the week of Christmas a few years ago. It made the park somewhat doable - standard lines were crazy, but still left a bad taste in my mouth for the price/value as it was over $300 for the day + ticket.

As with all things Disney it is as clear as mud. The first date it will be available is October 30, 2024. So somewhat a random guess as to if they will pull a LLMP and/or LLSP and just start it up with no 7 day advanced purchase window.

Dave

No idea but my guess is yes.

Also, I would imagine if you buy LLPP for MK, you can start at MK, hop to another park late morning and use LLMP there, and then go back to MK in the evening, still with the ability to use your LLPP?
This is what I was wondering too. Since as of now you can't park hop with it, could you buy both and use the LLMP for your 2nd park (or vice versa).

I'm really curious how this will all go but I'm on the fence. I see pros/cons with it and who knows what it will be by 2025 when I'm going again.

Also, again, the price if you are buying it outright, its similar. Universal just offers another option that makes it more affordable by staying at one of their hotels. I'm not comparing this part.
Yep, over 10,000 rooms, about 40,000 or so people depending on average room occupancy. I wonder what percentage of guests will buy this.
