Hi, everyone. I was trying to think of cheaper places to eat in Disneyland/Disney California Adventure for an upcoming trip, and ended up browsing the website.

Because I'm trip-planning obsessed and on semester break, I compiled this list of all the in-park restaurants with a one dollar-sign price rating on the Disneyland website. I have arbitrarily included a few snack places with items that sounded to me like they could be ‘meal-worthy’ and excluded other snack places, so it's not a comprehensive list. I also excluded all bars and lounges.

For each one, I included the lowest-priced item (or one of them) and the highest-priced item (or one of them(. I also added a couple random notes here and there re: other menu items. This is accurate as of 30/12/2014.

It seems to me like most of the kids' meals are approximately $6.

Disneyland:

CARNATION CAFE,
$6.49 (chili/soup) -$15.99 (salad) - $18.49 (penne pasta with shrimp)
Kids meals: $7.49 (pb&j) - $8.49 (chicken friend chicken)

DAISY'S DINER, Mickey’s Toontown
Two pizzas (cheese and pepperoni) for ~$7.

and their famous Mint Juleps.

THE GOLDEN HORSESHOE, Frontierland (feat. live shows)
Four adult entrees for ~$9.
Also sundaes, ice cream nachos (someone tell me what those are!), and floats.

HARBOUR GALLEY, Critter Country
$9.99 (clam chowder) - $14.99 (lobster roll)
Also baked potatoes.

JOLLY HOLIDAY BAKERY CAFE, Main Street
$5.79 (assorted soups) - $9.79 (oven-roasted turkey on ciabatta)
Also various baked goods.

PLUTO'S DOGHOUSE, Mickey’s Toontown
$6.79 premium hot dog (and a $6.49 kids turkey dog)

RED ROCKETT'S PIZZA PORT, Tomorrowland
$6.99 (lunar cheese slice) - $9.99 (count down chicken fusilli OR celestial Caesar chicken salad)
$32.99 for a whole pizza

Also a number of snacks and drinks.

FIDDLER, FIFER & PRACTICAL CAFE, Buena Vista Street

and a Starbucks.

FLO'S V8 CAFE, Carsland
$10.99 (turkey dip) - $12.99 (BBQ Pork Ribs)
Also pies and shakes.
I can speak to this turkey dip - it's good stuff. And I'd eat a mudpie too, if I were you.

When did you get these prices? Disney raised food prices after Labor Day. The ones that I know are wrong are Bengal Barbecue is $4.49, Golden Horseshoe is $9.99 and Daisy's pizza is $7.99 for pepperoni and $7.79 for cheese.

What with the price increases, it's enough to make a person go on a diet! ;) no, really. :( :faint: lol

The nachos at Whitewater Snack at the GCH are still one of the best deals in town. They cost $9.99 and are enough for two. :thumbsup2 I know it's not in park but it's so good and cheap.

Don't forget, one always has the option for panhandling for breadcrumbs. Personally, I would hold out for the surf and turf!
Much tastier and filling.
Also, if ye happen to be visiting the Pirates, just give a shout out to the land lubbers who are enjoying their grub, for a roll, they just might toss you one. Maybe, if ye be lucky enough too, you'll get more than one and with butter!

I hear that the begging for bread strategy works best if one happens to be near the entrance to the Boudin bakery tour.

If a bred roll does get tossed your way on POTC, don't worry if it lands in the water. Just scoop it right up and enjoy that extra seasoning.

Bengal bbq skewers are definitely snack sized. My DH and I each had two and a tiger tail and we were still starving, unfortunately.

I don't share mine, but yes, they are big enough to feed two people! :rotfl:

Two notes though. if you are in DTD then WWS is a bit of a walk and if the parks are really crowded it can take awhile for the food to get there.

Great list! And I also want to know more about the ice cream nachos!

grnflash --

The ice cream nachos were/are a new item for 2014, originally introduced as part of the Fall/Halloween Time offerings (though I have no clue how ice cream nachos tie in with Fall and Halloween, but okay...). After Halloween Time ended, the nachos stuck around for at least part of the holidays, if not the whole season, though I'm not sure if the flavors changed. I had reluctantly added them to my master list of Fall/Halloween Time sweet and savory foods (in my Halloween Superthread), but I always wondered if the nachos were reallllllllly a Fall/Halloween Time food (or a holiday season food, for that matter)!

In this Parks Blog you can see a photo of what the nachos are supposed to look like (I don't know if they actually look that good when ordered, however).

Very true. They are very tasty (yummy sauces), but don't expect it to fill you up. They are a light snack.

I highly recommend the Cozy Cone options. I found their chili in a cone, as well as the mac and cheese, to be a very adequate meal. Especially because you get to eat not only the chili, but the pita-type bread that it is wrapped in.

Thanks as always for the info Sherry! The sundae sure looks delicious - but I agree, not very haloweenish. lol

I didn't share either. While it was a good size for nachos, I don't think it's quite enough for two if eating as a meal IMO. They are still on my radar for next trip though because they were great!

I would add that at the Plaza inn the kids meal can sub the leg for a breast of have a nice decent light meal for a decent price, since it is only like a dollar extra to change the piece. I have done it when I did not want to eat the whole meal. Comes with the mashed potatoes, carrots, apples, small drink, and the chicken. Yum!

I say don't underestimate kids meals all over the parks. My boys had a few at lucky fortune and I wished I had just ordered that:) The small portions make it great so your not stuffed and puking on tower of terror later LOL

Also another tip...you can order the corn dogs a la carte (without the chips or apples) and it saves you $1.50 to $2.00 - not sure how much exactly, but it does end up being cheaper without the side.
