Land/Sea Cruise: Booking Extra Night @ Disney Resort

Hello all,

Planning a 3 day land/4 day sea trip next year and researching options to book an extra night prior to the start for the vacation at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.

Since we're flying from the West Coast we will then be able to spend our first day at the Park (instead of on a plane). Quoted $144 + tax for the extra night from Disney Reservations (not Disney Cruise Line). DCL can book the extra night but only with an extra Park Hopper expense

Any ideas if there are less expensive options for booking at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort?

Hello, and welcome to the cruise board!

I'd recommend booking your extra night separately as a room-only reservation and hoping that some discounts are released to reduce the price. This past year there have been "code rates" for almost all seasons available. If you book through DCL you would not be able to book with any discounts for that extra night.

Another option would be to stay at one of the value resorts (the All Stars) or at an offsite hotel.

If you check out our Resorts Board there are always threads about discounts as they are released. Nothing is out past October of this year (and that is just a package discount, not a room only) but as discounts are released you will see information on that board.

We always book an extra night (or two, or seven before and/or after our land/sea package, and always book those nights separate from the cruise package. We like the idea of being able to enjoy that first full day of the package in the parks, and hate the idea of coming right home after we get off the ship!

We've booked through Dreams, and they're wonderful about just applying the codes and discounts to your reservation without any fuss or bother.
