i have long, fairly curly hair that i straighten pretty frequently. But I'm looking for some hair styles or hair products that you use at disney to help with the heat and humidity. I want it to look cute in pictures. Not a frizzy mess of a ponytail. Lol. Pictures are appreciated :) Thanks in advance.

Comb some leave-in conditioner through it and put it up in a bun or a french twist. Easy peasy.

I was planning to anyway but timed it to our trip- getting a Brazilian blowout. It won't totally straighten my hair but it's supposed to get rid of the frizzy hair. It's expensive but going to try it! Gotta look better than what my hair is doing now :)

I have similar type hair and I use Suave anti-frizz cream either on slightly damp or dry hair to keep the frizz under control. I also find using a cleansing conditioner instead of shampoo and applying a little of the anti-frizz cream throughout my wet hair and letting it air dry works well. All the curl and none of the frizz - well at least less of the frizz.

I live in Florida and use John Frieda frizz ease almost daily. It is the only thing I've found that works very well- for me anyways. However, if you are visiting in the summer, it does not matter what you use or how much; your hair will get somewhat (or maybe a lot) frizzy by the end of the day. I find that keeping it in a ponytail is better, because the top usually stays looking nice even if the pony tail part gets frizzy. For pictures, the pony tail wouldn't be visible in most or any of them anyways.

I have tough hair for humidity also. I just find a cute disney hat to wear and enjoy not working on my hair all week :) But all my pics look the same each trip because I keep wearing the same hat lol.

I use It's a 10 leave in conditioner, but this is usually the extent of my Disney hair"style". Of course this artsy black and white picture makes it much more glamorous than it ever is on me :)

Do you know how to French braid your hair? I usually wear two French braids and then pin it sort of like a halo / crown so it's off my neck. People always seem really impressed that I can do that on my own but that was a must in the late eighties / early nineties! Luckily the ridiculous bangs are gone ;)

I use Garnier Fructis curl sculpting cream gel finished with their anti-humidity hair spray :)

Sincerely,

A FL native with naturally curly/frizzy hair :wave2:

Long curly here from the GA/FL border. My recipe is:
NOT to straighten if you are going during a humid time. My hair just soaks up the humidity and refrizzes. Partially straight hair with frizz looks worse to me than slightly frizzy curls.
LOTS of gel/product to get curls to "clump"- you can scrunch out the stiffness after it's dry.
BRAIDS. Or updos, chignons, whatever. Hair Romance is a great website resource with tutorials.
Finally, Kenra 25 hairspray. It's my precious, like Gollum's ring. Shellac it.

If all else fails, Mickey ears!
