We are arriving to WDW on July 4th and this is a non-park day (late arrival - don't want to waste a days ticket). Our current plan is to go to Disney Springs for shopping and dinner. I really want to see fireworks that night. Any ideas on how to make that happen when we're not in one of the parks?

For the MK fireworks, the best place to watch is at the TTC near the boat docks.

Yes, as mentioned above go to the beach at Polynesian. It may even be a better view than in the park because they shoot fireworks all around the lagoon, so you can see the reflections. We plan to watch them from the Polynesian on the 3rd. :)
